The Thanh Y Dao Cultural Reserve in Bang Ca Commune is one of the attractive indigenous cultural tourism destinations in Ha Long City. This place preserves the unique cultural values of the Thanh Y Dao ethnic group and is a place for community cultural activities to help connect feelings and spread the cultural beauty of the indigenous Dao people. Last April, a number of travel companies began welcoming tourists to visit and experience the reserve.

Mr. Nguyen Thanh Binh, Director of Tan Hong Company Limited, Quang Ninh Branch, said: We have brought a number of cruise ship tourist groups to visit and experience the cultural identity of the Dao Thanh Y ethnic group. International tourists were very excited about these activities.

Along with Bang Ca, Ky Thuong is one of the favorite destinations of tourists because of its beautiful natural scenery, fresh air, and quietness, different from the city. In addition, the cultural values of ethnic minorities here are also exploited in parallel with ecological values, becoming unique tourism products. Here, a number of units have invested in building and developing tourism products with the characteristics of the indigenous people's style. One can mention Ky Thuong Am Vap farm tourist area with a wooden stilt house design and a campus of nearly 2,000m2 serving food, accommodation, and entertainment services. After experiencing nature, visitors are welcomed by staff who are the locals in traditional Dao costumes. At the same time, they can visit the community house where costumes and production tools are displayed, listen to an introduction to indigenous culture, and watch and learn brocade embroidery with local women.

Along with the tourist attractions in the North, the city will make the most of destinations in the suburbs such as Loi Am Pagoda and Yen Lap Lake. According to Mr. Nguyen Manh Tuan, Head of the Department of Culture and Information of Ha Long City, the locality has also developed a plan to link with tourist attractions, establish routes, and connect sightseeing spots between Ha Long Bay and the mountainous and forest areas, along with enhancing the effectiveness of tourist markets. At the same time, new tourist routes have been proposed, such as: Ha Long Bay - City Center; Ha Long Bay - Loi Am Pagoda and Yen Lap Lake - Bang Ca Commune.
