Attending on behalf of Bac Lieu province leaders were Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Huynh Chi Nguyen, leaders of a number of relevant departments, agencies and units.
Speaking at the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Huynh Chi Nguyen said that in recent times, the Government and ministries have paid attention to removing many difficulties and obstacles in State management in the province, especially the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment has worked with the locality to remove obstacles in the management of natural resources and environment. Thereby, the management of natural resources and environment in the province has basically met the requirements, having a positive impact on attracting investment and promoting socio-economic development. However, in the implementation process in the locality, there are still some difficulties and obstacles that need to be consulted to resolve.
Reporting at the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Binh Thuan, Director of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment of Bac Lieu province, said that on January 5, 2023, the Government Office issued Notice No. 03 announcing the Prime Minister's conclusion at the meeting with the leaders of Bac Lieu province, including 5 recommendations on the local land sector, the Prime Minister assigned the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment to resolve. Up to now, the Ministry has guided and resolved the locality, however, the locality still has problems related to land procedures at the High-tech Agricultural Zone; adjusting the Land Use Planning for the period 2021 - 2030 at the district level.
Regarding the sea and island sector, the province still faces some difficulties in assigning sea areas to implement the Bac Lieu Wind Power Plant Project Phase III.
At the meeting, representatives of the Department of Economics and Land Resources Development, the Department of Land, the Department of Vietnam Seas and Islands and a number of related units provided guidance and answered questions related to the management of natural resources and the environment of the province in accordance with the provisions of the Land Law, the Law on Seas and Islands and related laws.
Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Minister Le Minh Ngan affirmed: The Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment is always ready to support and work with localities to remove difficulties related to State management of natural resources and environment in the spirit of ensuring legal regulations, aiming at the goal of sustainable socio-economic development.
The Deputy Minister acknowledged the opinions of the affiliated units in response to the difficulties of Bac Lieu province, and at the same time, requested the units to increase exchanges and provide guidance to localities to improve the effectiveness of land management, marine and island environmental resources in the locality.
