Speaking at the opening ceremony of the Spring Festival in all regions of the country, Deputy Minister Trinh Thi Thuy said that the Festival is an opportunity for us to honor and introduce the cultural beauty, beliefs and customs of ethnic groups across the country, contributing to promoting the preservation and promotion of cultural heritage values, while opening up a space for exchanges imbued with identity, for subjects to introduce their own culture, in accordance with the viewpoint of our Party: The people are the creative subjects. The team of artists plays an important role in reviving and developing culture.
According to the Deputy Minister, within the framework of the Festival, the public and visitors will enjoy special programs imbued with ethnic identities, with the participation of more than 200 artisans from 26 ethnic communities, 29 mobilized communities from 14 provinces representing ethnic groups and regions across the country. Through the activities of the Festival, the unique cultural values of each region will be introduced and promoted to international friends, contributing to building the image of a beautiful, dynamic and rich-in-identity Vietnam.
"Coming to the Festival, people and tourists will be immersed in a space imbued with identity to feel more deeply the values and beauty of traditional culture of Vietnamese ethnic groups in the activities of welcoming the New Year and spring that have existed for thousands of years, with outstanding activities such as: The opening ceremony of the Tower of the Cham people in Ninh Thuan province, a ritual bearing the unique spiritual cultural imprint of the Cham ethnic community; The opening ceremony and introduction, performance of bamboo calendar - the national intangible cultural heritage of the Muong ethnic group in Hoa Binh province, with unique customs and practices, closely associated with the harvest and the harmony between people and nature; Reenacting the new rice celebration of the Raglai ethnic group in Ninh Thuan province with dances, songs and rituals imbued with the spirit of honoring noble values and community cohesion. The President stated that Vietnam is a multi-ethnic country, each ethnic group has its own unique, rich and distinctive cultural values, creating a cultural picture that is both diverse and highly unified, reflecting the creativity and mettle of the Vietnamese people throughout historical periods. One of the most important values of the traditional culture of 54 ethnic groups is the spirit of great solidarity and mutual love, which has created an endogenous strength, the foundation that helps the Vietnamese people overcome all difficulties and challenges throughout the history of building, defending the country, and fighting for national liberation in the past, as well as in the cause of building, developing the country and firmly protecting the Vietnamese Fatherland today.
The President highly appreciated the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism for proactively coordinating closely with central and local departments, ministries and branches in recent years to organize many cultural events of profound political significance at the Vietnam National Village for Ethnic Culture and Tourism, which converge at the "Common House" with traditional cultural and artistic activities, representative intangible cultural heritages of humanity, national intangible cultural heritages; unique and colorful rituals and festivals vividly formed in the flow of ethnic cultures, highlighting the diverse beauty of Vietnamese culture, attracting domestic and foreign tourists to visit, experience culture, and community tourism, thereby continuing to affirm and spread the vitality of traditional cultural values of the nation in development, exchange, integration and international cooperation.

The President suggested: All levels, sectors, and mass organizations from the central to local levels need to continue to research, promulgate, and effectively implement ethnic policies, ensuring the rights and improving the material and spiritual lives of ethnic people; at the same time, have effective solutions to protect and continue to promote the traditional cultural values of ethnic communities, preserving the unique cultural beauty of each ethnic group, in which it is necessary to pay special attention to honoring and respecting the important contributions of artisans, village elders, village chiefs, and prestigious people among ethnic people - those are typical, exemplary, and key people in local movements, and are the "fulcrum for all other fulcrums" of the village.

Localities need to continue to focus on leading and directing the tight and effective implementation of national target programs to support socio-economic development, especially rural infrastructure, improve the quality of life for people, have specific and practical solutions and jobs to increase income, improve the material and spiritual life of ethnic minorities; at the same time, it is necessary to care for education, culture, health care, social welfare, pay more attention to the issue of training cadres, employment for young people, proactively contribute to continuing to improve policies for ethnic minorities, create more favorable conditions for ethnic minorities to participate more deeply and effectively in the overall development process of the country.

The Spring Festival across the country takes place from February 14-16, 2025 (January 17, 18, 19) (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) with activities such as responding to the Tet tree planting festival to forever remember Uncle Ho by ethnic people who are active every day in the Village with the theme "each person plants a tree" in the space of ethnic villages; Introducing cuisine, Tet dishes: banh chung, banh tet, sticky rice, roasted chicken, roasted pork, sausage, wine...
