According to the report of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, after 3 months of operation, the apparatus of the Relic Site Management Board has initially operated relatively well. Along with promoting the sense of responsibility of each official and employee, they have contributed to completing the assigned tasks well. The relic site is considered a red address, a place to organize activities about the source, has the meaning of educating revolutionary traditions, is an attractive destination, attracting the attention of all classes of people and tourists in the province.
However, the operation of the Relic Site Management Board still faces many difficulties such as: The area of the Relic Site is too large (over 10 hectares), while the number of civil servants and workers is small, so it cannot fully perform its functions and tasks. On the other hand, the Relic Site Management Board is a newly established unit under the Provincial Museum; however, it must use the payroll and workers of the Provincial Museum assigned in 2023 to assign to work at the relic site. Moreover, the Provincial Museum is not provided with additional funds to pay salaries for contract employees working at the Relic Site, but must balance the revenue from the Po Sah Inư Tower relic to pay, so it is very difficult and stressful. In addition, the relic site does not have a kitchen, a communal dining room; there is no guard house, gate and fence in front of the facade...
Speaking at the conference, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Hoai Anh assessed that the operation of the Provincial Party Committee Base Relic Site during the anti-American resistance war initially created a good impression, becoming a destination attracting a large number of cadres, party members and people, especially cadres and soldiers who had worked in the resistance base area during the anti-American resistance war.
The Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee praised the sense of responsibility of the staff of the Relic Site Management Board as well as the attention, support, direction and facilitation of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Provincial Museum, departments, branches and Ham Thuan Bac district. Thereby, helping the initial activities of the Relic Site Management Board achieve encouraging results.
However, the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee said that the activities of the relic site still face many difficulties and do not yet meet the conditions to promote higher efficiency. Notably, the infrastructure is not yet complete, there are no auxiliary items to serve common activities, and there is a lack of equipment. In addition, there are few staff and workers but they have to undertake a large amount of work, while there are no policies to increase income for workers.
To continue promoting the activities of the relic site in the coming time, the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee noted that it is necessary to clearly identify the preservation of the relic site as educating revolutionary traditions for cadres and party members, especially for the younger generation, as the top political task. However, to create attractiveness for tourists, there should be other supporting activities to create vitality for the relic site, attracting tourists to return. Regarding overcoming some difficulties and obstacles at the relic site, the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee requested the Party Committee of the Provincial People's Committee to lead the Provincial People's Committee to direct the completion of infrastructure facilities. In particular, it is important to complete the works according to the approved project; The Provincial People's Committee assigned the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to preside over and coordinate with relevant agencies to survey and propose investment preparation for phases 2 and 3.
