Attending the conference at the Ninh Thuan provincial bridge point were comrade Pham Van Hau, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; comrades of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, members of the Provincial Steering Committee for Anti-Corruption; representatives of the Standing Committees of the districts, city Party Committees, Party Committees directly under the Provincial Party Committee and leaders of relevant departments, branches and sectors.
According to the assessment, the activities of the Steering Committees for Anti-Corruption in provinces and centrally run cities (hereinafter referred to as the Provincial Steering Committees) in the first 6 months of the year have seen many clear changes. The Provincial Steering Committees have focused on directing the strengthening of inspection, supervision, and audit work, and improving the effectiveness of coordination between functional agencies in detecting and handling corruption and negativity. They have directed the strict handling of many corruption and negativity cases, especially complicated, prolonged cases with difficulties and obstacles; and have proactively detected, prosecuted, investigated, and strictly handled a number of new cases related to violations that occurred in previous years and newly arising violations.

In his concluding remarks at the conference, Comrade Phan Dinh Trac, Head of the Central Internal Affairs Commission, emphasized that although there are still some limitations and problems, the results achieved in the first 6 months of the year have affirmed the role and necessity of the Provincial Steering Committee in leading and directing the work of anti-corruption in localities. Thereby, it has actively contributed to the work of Party building and rectification, consolidating the trust of cadres, Party members and people in the Party's work of anti-corruption. In order to comprehensively complete all aspects of activities in the last 6 months of the year, Comrade Head of the Central Internal Affairs Commission requested that the Provincial Steering Committees continue to direct the effective implementation of the Party's guidelines, policies and laws of the State on anti-corruption in conjunction with the implementation of policies on Party building and rectification, on setting examples, fighting against degradation in political ideology, ethics and lifestyle, "self-evolution", "self-transformation" among cadres and Party members. Lead and direct the timely implementation of the General Secretary's Conclusions at the meetings of the Steering Committee and the Standing Committee of the Central Steering Committee on Anti-Corruption and Anti-Corruption, ensuring synchronous direction between prevention and detection and handling; in handling resolutely, strictly, objectively, rationally, with high persuasiveness, and with consensus and support from the internal and the people. It is necessary to consistently implement the four goals of "cannot, dare not, do not want, do not need" corruption and negativity in anti-corruption work. Continue to direct functional branches to strengthen inspection, supervision, audit, focusing on areas prone to corruption and negativity, specialized areas, closed activities, outstanding issues, pressing issues, and issues of public concern in the area; improve the effectiveness of self-inspection and inspection to detect and handle corruption and negativity within the organization. Focus on leading and directing the acceleration of investigation and handling of corruption and negative cases in localities, especially cases and incidents under the supervision and direction of the Provincial Steering Committee and the Central Steering Committee assigned to localities for handling... In addition, pay attention to improving the effectiveness of propaganda, dissemination and education on anti-corruption and culture of integrity; promote the role of elected agencies, the Fatherland Front, the press and the people in the fight against anti-corruption.
At the conference, the Central Internal Affairs Commission also disseminated the content of Regulation 132-QD/TW dated October 27, 2023 of the Politburo on controlling power and preventing and combating corruption in investigation, prosecution, trial and execution of judgments; requested the provincial Steering Committees to disseminate and seriously and effectively implement this work in accordance with the direction of the Central Committee.
