The 5th Nghe An Press Tennis Tournament brings together 250 athletes to compete

(NADS) - On the afternoon of May 22, Nghe An Press Tennis Club held a press conference and drew lots for the 5th Nghe An Press Tennis Tournament. The tournament is part of a series of activities to celebrate the 99th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day (June 21, 1925 - June 21, 2024) of Nghe An Press Tennis Club.

Nghe An Press Tennis Club came to offer flowers and incense to commemorate President Ho Chi Minh at Ho Chi Minh Square (Vinh City).

On the same morning, Nghe An Press Tennis Club offered flowers and incense to commemorate President Ho Chi Minh at Ho Chi Minh Square (Vinh City). After that, Nghe An Press Tennis Club and representatives of the Nghe An Provincial Fatherland Front Committee visited and presented gifts to children at Lam Bich Shelter Center (Hamlet 5, Hung Yen Bac Commune, Hung Nguyen District) which is caring for and raising more than 40 orphans with no place to go. The delegation presented candy to the children and presented 20 million VND in cash to support the center's operations.

Nghe An Press Tennis Club visited and gave gifts to children at Lam Bich Shelter Center in Hung Yen Bac commune, Hung Nguyen district.

Mr. Huynh Thanh Dien, former Vice Chairman of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee, Chairman of Nghe An Tennis Federation said: We highly appreciate the efforts and enthusiasm of the members of Nghe An Press Tennis Club. This is a very attractive playground, through the organization of the tournament, the scale of the tournament is getting bigger and bigger, the quality of the tournament is getting better and better, gathering many good athletes to participate. The tournament has created a vibrant and attractive sports atmosphere, thereby contributing to the development of the province's sports in general and the tennis movement in the area in particular.

It is known that the Nghe An Press Tennis Tournament is held annually by the Nghe An Press Tennis Club. In the spirit of training, improving health, promoting the tennis movement in Nghe An province. Participating in the tournament are athletes including journalists and reporters from press agencies located in Nghe An province; athletes from many agencies, units, and local businesses in the province. In particular, this tournament has the participation of a number of national athletes competing in the "super cup" 1600 such as Minh Tuan, Van Phuong... or many excellent athletes from other provinces in the country such as: Long Tre, Phu Su, Hieu Den, Hieu Tre...

The tournament will take place over 2 days (May 24 and 25) with the participation of more than 250 athletes competing in 3 categories: 1330, 1450 and 1600.
