Today's pepper price was updated at 4:30 a.m. on February 18, 2025 as follows: Domestic pepper prices are vibrant and increasing again after many previous price reductions, the increase is from 2,000 - 3,000 VND/kg depending on the locality. Currently, the average pepper purchase price in key areas is 160,000 VND/kg.
Specifically, pepper prices today in Gia Lai province increased sharply, an increase of 3,000 VND/kg compared to the previous trading session, currently pepper is purchased at 160,000 VND/kg.
Similarly, pepper price in Binh Phuoc also increased by 3,000 VND/kg and pepper purchase price in this locality is at the same price of 160,000 VND/kg.
Pepper prices in Ba Ria - Vung Tau province continued to increase by 2,000 VND/kg compared to the previous trading session, currently pepper is purchased at 160,000 VND/kg.
Pepper prices in Dak Nong and Dak Lak provinces also increased by 2,000 VND/kg. Currently, the pepper purchase price in these two localities is the highest in the country, at 162,000 VND/kg.

Many pepper farmers in Ba Ria - Vung Tau province said that in 2025, although pepper productivity in the area decreased compared to previous years due to unfavorable weather, in return, thanks to the high pepper price, gardeners in the province are very excited.
Accordingly, in the 2025 crop year, the whole Ba Ria - Vung Tau province has more than 10,370 hectares of pepper, of which nearly 10,000 hectares are being harvested; estimated output is more than 25,000 tons. On average, 1 hectare of pepper only yields about 2 tons, down 50% compared to previous years. However, with the current high pepper price, after deducting costs, farmers earn a profit of 200-300 million VND/ha. It is expected that by the end of February 2025, pepper gardens will be in full harvest.
Experts say pepper prices may continue to rise in the short term, especially if China, one of the largest customers of Vietnamese pepper, increases imports again. However, pepper prices may stagnate as supplies from the new harvest are gradually replenished.

The International Pepper Community (IPC) forecasts that global pepper production will continue to decline in 2025, especially in Vietnam and Brazil – the world’s two largest pepper exporting countries. The community estimates that world pepper production will decrease by about 4%, equivalent to 22,000 tons. IPC assesses that this decline in production could push pepper prices on the world market up this year.

World pepper price today
Update on world pepper prices from the International Pepper Community (IPC) at 4:30 a.m. on February 18, 2025 as follows: the market continues to remain stable and anchored at a high level.
Specifically, IPC listed the price of Indonesian Lampung black pepper at 7,294 USD/ton; Muntok white pepper is currently purchased at 10,068 USD/ton.
The Malaysian pepper market continues to remain stable and is anchored at a high level. Currently, the price of Malaysian ASTA black pepper is purchased at 9,000 USD/ton and the price of ASTA white pepper is at 11,600 USD/ton.
Pepper prices in Brazil remained stable compared to the previous increase, currently purchasing at 6,800 USD/ton.
The export market for Vietnamese pepper continues to be stable and slightly increasing. Specifically, the export price of Vietnamese black pepper is currently at 6,500 USD/ton for 500 g/l; 550 g/l is at 6,650 USD/ton; and the price of white pepper is at 9,550 USD/ton.
