Gia Nghia City (Dak Nong) is implementing many solutions on infrastructure development, information technology application, human resource training, digital transformation, propaganda to all classes of people... to strive to basically meet the criteria of a type II, smart, modern urban area by 2025.
Resolution of the 12th Gia Nghia City Party Congress, term 2020-2025, strives to turn Gia Nghia city into a green, clean, beautiful, civilized, modern, smart city by 2025, basically meeting the criteria of a type II urban area.
To realize these goals, Gia Nghia has implemented many solutions and initially achieved certain results. Gia Nghia urban area is moving towards being smarter and more modern.
First of all, for the planning and development of smart urban infrastructure, Gia Nghia City People's Committee has signed a contract with Slighting Vietnam Joint Stock Company to implement the project of renovating and upgrading the public lighting system using LED technology.

In particular, Slighting Vietnam Joint Stock Company will carry out the entire replacement of Sodium lighting systems on 53 routes of Gia Nghia City, with the volume of replacement bulbs being about 5,125 units.
Chairman of Gia Nghia City People's Committee Do Tan Suong said that replacing LED technology has helped improve the efficiency of public lighting and reduce energy consumption.
Gia Nghia continues to cooperate with Slighting Vietnam Joint Stock Company to deploy lighting system management using remote software system. From there, optimize energy saving, adjust to turn on and off automatically. Monitoring and repairing lighting problems are guaranteed to be quick.
Currently, Gia Nghia City is coordinating with the Provincial Police and related units to install 100 more security cameras in the area. These cameras operate 24/7, contributing to ensuring security and order.

On July 18, 2022, the People's Committee of Dak Nong province approved the Project on Smart Urban Development of Dak Nong province to 2025, with a vision to 2030.
Based on this Project, Gia Nghia City People's Committee coordinates with the Department of Information and Communications to implement the Project to build a smart Gia Nghia City, phase 2021-2025. First of all, Gia Nghia City People's Committee will build a Smart Operation Center in 2023.
Gia Nghia City has 103 deposit and withdrawal points, 201 points accepting cashless payments via ViettelMoney and Mobile Money. The total number of digital payment accounts for people is 13,425 accounts.
Of these, VNPT has 2,633 accounts and Viettel has 10,792 accounts. Up to now, out of 1,656 taxpayers, over 1,000 have been instructed to install Etax Mobile to pay taxes electronically.

Currently, all 8 communes and wards in the area have established a Steering Committee for Digital Transformation. Gia Nghia has established 62 community digital technology groups, with 310 members.
The city has about 80% of its population participating in online shopping on e-commerce platforms, social networks and mobile applications such as: Lazada, Shopee, Sendo, Facebook, Zalo...
Up to now, Nghia Tan and Quang Thanh wards have basically completed the digital transformation pilot program. Gia Nghia City People's Committee has directed the expansion of digital transformation to the remaining 6 communes and wards under the direction of the Provincial People's Committee.
Gia Nghia has deployed the current status of information technology application in management and operation such as: Eoffice document management software; official email system; online public service system; city electronic information page; online video conferencing system; electronic one-stop system...
