The live hog market continued to increase slightly at the beginning of this week. Currently, the price of live hogs nationwide fluctuates from 67,000 - 72,000 VND/kg.
The Northern region recorded an increase of VND1,000/kg in live pig prices in Lao Cai, reaching VND69,000/kg, the same price as in Yen Bai, Nam Dinh, Ha Nam and Ninh Binh.
Thus, traders in this area are currently purchasing live pigs at prices ranging from 69,000 - 71,000 VND/kg.
In the Central Highlands region , the price of live pigs also increased slightly in Quang Nam, up to 68,000 VND/kg.
Accordingly, live pigs in this area are purchased at around 67,000 - 71,000 VND/kg. The level of 67,000 VND/kg is currently recorded in Khanh Hoa. This is also the locality with the lowest live pig price in the country.
The southern live pig market is holding the highest transaction price in the country, with live pig prices reaching from 69,000 - 72,000 VND/kg.
According to a survey on the morning of February 10, the price of live pigs continued to increase in Vinh Long and Binh Duong, reaching 70,000 VND/kg and 71,000 VND/kg, respectively.
