Nearly 70% of Foreign Trade University students graduate with honors or higher

On September 10, Foreign Trade University held the second graduation ceremony of 2023 for more than 1,700 students. Of which, about 21% of students achieved excellent academic results, 48.2% of students achieved good academic results (the rate of excellent and good accounts for nearly 70%).

At the graduation ceremony of the 58th class, the school awarded certificates and medals to 28 new graduates who achieved the title of valedictorian and honored and rewarded 38 outstanding students of the entire class.

Associate Professor, Dr. Bui Anh Tuan, President of Foreign Trade University, spoke on the morning of September 10.

Speaking at the ceremony, Associate Professor Dr. Bui Anh Tuan emphasized that today is a day of special significance, the day when students officially step out of school to continue on the chosen path with many ambitions and aspirations for the future.

With what they have achieved in terms of study, scientific research and training, with the prestigious degree in hand, they are completely proud of the journey they have gone through, of what they have achieved.

Associate Professor Dr. Bui Anh Tuan hopes that students will maintain their courage and enthusiasm to seize every opportunity and take control of their lives. They should always be creative, dynamic, and dare to sacrifice to lead and reach the top. They should burn themselves out for their passion and always have high and far-reaching dreams.

The President of Foreign Trade University also shared that the 58th course is the first course to apply the new training program built and developed according to the principle of "fundamental, open and flexible"; institutes, specialized faculties, departments and functional management units have always closely followed, guided and supported students in the learning process to achieve high results.

Course 58 is also the first course to apply the new teaching and learning management system. The new system helps students register for study more effectively; students can monitor their training program, study progress, and learning results, thereby planning and building a roadmap to help shorten the training time.

Foreign Trade University honors 28 valedictorians of the entire K58 course.

Representing the new graduates this time, student Le Nhat Hoang - Valedictorian of the Advanced Program in Foreign Economics K58 with a GPA of 3.98/4.0 expressed his feelings and sent his gratitude to his teachers and family at the ceremony.

“For me, the honor of standing on this big stage is not because I am the best student, nor because I have the most outstanding extracurricular achievements or the best scientific research, but simply because I believe that I have had the most valuable 4 years of university experience,” the male student said.

Nhat Hoang thanked the teachers and the Foreign Trade University for giving students many opportunities to explore, challenge, practice and develop themselves. The male student believes that the Foreign Trade University has ignited confidence, courage, and daring to show the difference in each student so that they are not a copy of anyone else, but become their own version, confident in the path they have chosen.
