Festival on agricultural products and craft villages will be held in the fourth quarter of 2024 in Hanoi

The 3rd Hanoi Agricultural Products and Craft Village Festival 2024 will take place over 5 days in the fourth quarter of 2024. This is an event to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital (October 10, 1954 - October 10, 2024) and the 70th anniversary of the establishment of the Department of Agriculture, now the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development (November 30, 1954 - November 30, 2024).

Vice Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee Nguyen Manh Quyen has just signed and issued Plan No. 226/KH-UBND on organizing the 3rd Hanoi Agricultural Products and Craft Village Festival in 2024.

The event is an activity to promote economic growth and development in the agricultural and rural areas of Hanoi; accelerate the new rural construction program; preserve the village community space and traditional products and products; and create motivation to restructure the agricultural sector in a sustainable direction.

At the same time, the Festival is also an opportunity to introduce and promote culture, tourism, agriculture, rural areas and socio-economic development achievements of localities, contributing to building the image and brand of the capital Hanoi - green, cultured, civilized, modern. Strengthening and promoting trade connections and product consumption between Hanoi and other provinces and cities, promoting the development of agricultural production and tourism services.

Participants are cooperatives, enterprises producing and trading in the fields of agriculture and craft villages in Hanoi and provinces and cities nationwide; Farmers and owners of typical agricultural production farms in Hanoi and provinces and cities nationwide; Artisans recognized and awarded by the State; Households producing traditional craft village products in Hanoi; Foreign organizations and individuals producing and trading in the fields of agriculture, craft village products, production and trading of agricultural machinery, materials and equipment. Units and enterprises given priority to participate are manufacturing and distribution enterprises with products manufactured according to VietGAP, organic and high-tech standards with certificates and certifications according to regulations.

Within the framework of the Festival, there will be activities to display and introduce products in the field of agricultural and rural development of Hanoi City and provinces and cities nationwide; Display and introduce OCOP products, craft village products, high-quality agricultural products to serve tourists. Arrange space to display and introduce community tourism spots, typical agricultural and rural tourism models of districts, towns and cities in Hanoi City.

The Hanoi People's Committee assigned the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development to be the host and coordinate the implementation of the Festival; at the same time, it required the organization of the Festival to be carefully prepared, reflecting the theme of the brand of agricultural products and craft villages of Hanoi in the period of international economic integration; promoting the potential, promoting the image of agricultural specialties, agricultural materials and craft village products of Hanoi to the whole country and foreign organizations.

As planned, the Festival will be held for 5 days in the fourth quarter of 2024 at Mailand Hanoi City Urban Area, An Khanh Commune, Hoai Duc District, Hanoi City. The expected scale is about 15,000m2 with the following areas: Area for displaying ornamental plants; Area for displaying images and unique artifacts of Hanoi's agriculture and countryside past and present, introducing the general achievements of Hanoi's agricultural sector; Area for displaying typical 4-star and 5-star OCOP products; Area for agricultural products; Area for displaying craft village products; Area for displaying typical products of districts, towns and cities; Area for displaying machinery, supplies and equipment for agricultural production, high-tech agriculture, etc.
