On February 14, Duy Xuyen District People's Council held a meeting and unanimously approved the project to establish, reorganize and dissolve a number of administrative organizations under the District People's Committee.

Accordingly, the Construction Order Management Team's activities will end, and the functions and tasks of state management in the field of construction order will be transferred to the Department of Economics and Infrastructure. Establish the Department of Home Affairs on the basis of merging the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs and the Department of Home Affairs. Establish the Department of Agriculture and Environment on the basis of receiving the functions and tasks of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment and the functions and tasks of poverty reduction from the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs. Establish the Department of Culture, Science and Information on the basis of receiving the functions and tasks of science and technology from the Department of Economy and Infrastructure. Establish the Department of Economy, Infrastructure and Urban Areas on the basis of receiving the functions and tasks of advising on state management of construction, transportation, industry and trade from the Department of Economy and Infrastructure.

The Office of the People's Council and People's Committee of the district received the function of advising on state management in the fields of social protection, children and social evil prevention from the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs. The Department of Education and Training received the function and tasks of vocational education from the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs.

After the arrangement, Duy Xuyen District People's Committee still has 13 specialized departments and public service units, reducing 2 specialized agencies and 1 public service unit.

Also at the meeting, Duy Xuyen District People's Council passed a Resolution adjusting a number of contents of the state budget revenue and expenditure estimates for 2025, adjusting the medium-term public investment plan for the 2021-2025 period.
