After 5 years of implementing the Law on Management and Use of Weapons, Explosives and Supporting Tools (VK, VLN, CCHT) and guiding documents for implementation, Duc Trong District Police have proactively advised the District People's Committee to seriously and effectively implement the Law. Recognizing the importance of implementing the Law on Management and Use of Weapons, Explosives, and Explosives, in recent times, the People's Committee of Duc Trong district has strengthened its leadership, direction, organization, dissemination and implementation. At the same time, it has paid attention to disseminating laws on weapons, explosives, and explosives to the masses, cadres, civil servants and public employees; promptly and fully promulgating documents directing and guiding and strictly organizing the implementation of legal provisions on management and use of weapons, explosives, and explosives.
Over the past 5 years, the District Police have coordinated with the Department of Justice, the Department of Culture and Information, and the People's Committees of communes and towns to organize 1,150 propaganda and dissemination sessions on the law, providing guidance on the implementation of legal regulations on the management and use of weapons, explosives, and explosives for over 8,000 people.
In addition, the District People's Committee also directed the District Police to develop and deploy the "Exchange rice for weapons" model in the area. From 2020 to now, it has coordinated with the People's Committees of communes and towns to organize propaganda through the loudspeaker system with a frequency of 3 sessions/1 week, distributing 20,000 leaflets to propagate the "Exchange rice for weapons" model to each person in villages and residential groups, especially in areas where, after screening, it is determined that there are many weapons, explosives, and explosives that need to be focused on mobilizing recovery.
Since its implementation, the work of receiving, collecting, classifying and preserving weapons, explosives and hazardous wastes in the district has been carried out in accordance with the principles and procedures prescribed in the Law on Management and Use of Weapons, Explosives and Hazardous Wastes. Through organizing peak campaigns to mobilize people to hand over weapons, explosives, and explosives every year, the functional sector has received and collected 8 homemade guns, 18 lead bullets, 22.34 kg of lead bullets, 2 gun components, 200 primitive weapons, 9 support tools, 3 practice grenades, 7 105 mm artillery shells, 2 M79 shells, 3 grenades, 1 bomb, 1 60 mm mortar shell, 200 AR15 shells, 1 explosive mine, 2 bows, 2 baseball bats, 2 slingshots, 49.65 kg of fireworks, 424 fireworks tubes, 366 firecrackers, 9 flare tubes, 2 detonators. Thereby, the District People's Committee has directed the establishment of 4 councils to destroy weapons, explosives, and explosives according to regulations. At the same time, identifying the work of preventing and combating crimes and violations of weapons, explosives and explosives as an important task in protecting national security, ensuring social order and safety, protecting human rights and citizens' rights and serving socio-economic development, the police force has played a core role in advising Party committees and authorities at all levels to direct the synchronous and drastic implementation of solutions to prevent and combat crimes and violations of weapons, explosives and explosives and explosives in the district.

Thereby, the District Police have discovered and transferred to the Provincial Police for investigation under their authority 1 case (1 subject) for the crime of "Illegal possession of military guns", 2 cases (2 subjects) for the crime of "Illegal manufacture, storage, transportation, use, purchase, sale or appropriation of hunting guns, rudimentary weapons, sports weapons or support tools"; administratively handled 24 cases (26 subjects) of violations related to the storage and use of weapons, explosives, and explosives, etc.
