To practically celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Liberation Day of the Capital, welcoming the 18th Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) of Hanoi, this morning, July 13, the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hanoi solemnly held a Conference to commend outstanding Front officials at all levels of Hanoi for the period 2019-2024.
Attending the Conference on behalf of the Central Committee were Vice President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Truong Thi Ngoc Anh.
Delegates from Hanoi City include: Member of the Party Central Committee, Standing Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee Nguyen Thi Tuyen; Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the City Nguyen Lan Huong; Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Standing Vice Chairwoman of the City People's Council Phung Thi Hong Ha; Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Ha Minh Hai; Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Lieutenant General Nguyen Hai Trung - Director of the City Police; Secretary of Thanh Xuan District Party Committee Bui Huyen Mai...
In particular, the Conference was attended by 135 outstanding Front officials at all levels of Hanoi City for the period 2019-2024.

According to the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hanoi City, the cadres with outstanding achievements in the work of the Front in the period of 2019-2024 who were commended at today's Conference are all examples of dedication, responsibility, with many initiatives, experiences, good practices, and typical models of activities in propaganda and mobilization work to synchronously and comprehensively convey the Party's guidelines and policies, State policies and laws, action programs, and Resolutions of the Congresses of the Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels to residential areas and households...
The Front officials also regularly visit, meet, dialogue, listen to opinions, thoughts, and legitimate aspirations of the people; promote democracy, represent and protect the legitimate and legal rights and interests of the people; mobilize the people to participate in building the Party and building a strong government. The work and contributions of the Front officials at all levels of the city are truly important factors contributing to the results of implementing the 5 action programs of the Vietnam Fatherland Front in the period of 2019-2024.
At the Conference, Chairwoman of the City Fatherland Front Committee Nguyen Lan Huong congratulated and commended 135 outstanding Front officials at all levels who were honored today and affirmed that they are the most beautiful flowers in the brilliant, fragrant, and colorful flower garden of the Great National Unity. Although they are of different ages, levels, and dedication, they are all Front officials full of enthusiasm, responsibility, dedication, creativity, persistent activities, and close ties with the community, and are important nuclei contributing to building, consolidating, and promoting the strength of the Great National Unity in the new period.
Emphasizing that in the coming time, the tasks set for the Vietnam Fatherland Front system at all levels of the city and the staff of the Capital Front are extremely heavy with higher requirements and demands, the Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city expressed his hope that the staff of the Front at all levels of the city will continue to strive to rise up, affirm their mettle, capacity, responsibility, and prestige, actively contribute their intelligence, enthusiasm, and experience to the cause of great national unity in the city. At the same time, he requested that the Front at all levels pay attention and create all conditions for the staff of the Front to work with peace of mind, strive, and promote their capacity and strengths.
“In the common house of the great national unity bloc, each Front cadre is the “builder” of the great unity bloc, the nucleus of unity, so we must be determined and steadfast in implementing Uncle Ho's teachings: “Above for the country, below for the home, one is to benefit the country, two is to benefit the people”, so that the work of the Capital Front continues to achieve many achievements, making positive contributions to the cause of building a civilized, modern and cultured Capital” - Ms. Nguyen Lan Huong clearly stated.
New, more effective and practical way
In her speech, Standing Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee Nguyen Thi Tuyen emphasized that today's conference is an opportunity for the city's leaders to express their feelings, acknowledge, commend and honor the contributions of the city's Fatherland Front cadres at all levels to the cause of building and promoting the strength of the great national unity bloc. Reviewing the results of the city's Fatherland Front at all levels in recent times, she also highly appreciated the efforts, creativity and proactiveness in implementing and organizing emulation movements and campaigns of the Fatherland Front at all levels; praising the efforts, enthusiasm, responsibility, dedication, persistent and creative activities of exemplary Fatherland Front cadres.
According to the Standing Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, in the coming time, besides difficulties and challenges, Hanoi also has very basic advantages, especially the Capital Law (amended), 2 plans (Hanoi Capital Planning for the period 2021-2030, vision to 2050 and the Project to Adjust the Hanoi Capital Master Plan to 2045, vision to 2065). These are very important legal bases, which will impact the socio-economic development of the Capital; effectively promote outstanding mechanisms and policies for Hanoi to develop quickly and sustainably.
To continue promoting the role of the Front cadres at all levels in organizing and implementing political tasks, the Standing Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee requested the Fatherland Front at all levels to carry out 5 contents well. In particular, taking the ideology of "People are the root" as the core foundation for the activities of cadres doing Front work; strengthening the building and consolidating the great national unity bloc, promoting the role of the People in Party and government building work...
“In line with the political tasks of the city, the Front’s cadres need to step up propaganda and mobilize all classes of people to actively participate in responding to and effectively implementing campaigns, patriotic emulation movements and other social security activities, with new, more effective and practical ways. The goal is to mobilize the great resources in society, the efforts of each citizen, together with Party committees and authorities at all levels to successfully implement the goals and tasks of socio-economic development” - the Standing Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee emphasized.
At the same time, the Standing Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee requested the Fatherland Front at all levels to perform well the work of social supervision and criticism, participate in building a clean and strong Party and government; pay more attention to, raise awareness, promote the position and role of the Vietnam Fatherland Front; be more determined in social supervision and criticism, represent and protect the legitimate and legal rights of the people, truly meet the expectations of the people and society.
The City Fatherland Front at all levels also needs to continue to proactively innovate the content and methods of operation in accordance with the practical situation, operate effectively and effectively, and focus on the grassroots level; have effective solutions to strengthen the organization and staff, improve the quality of operations of the Front at all levels, especially at the grassroots level, in areas with difficulties and problems. At the same time, proactively detect and promptly propagate good models, creative ways of doing things, and replicate typical advanced examples in patriotic emulation campaigns and movements. In the immediate future, it is necessary to focus on preparing to successfully organize the 18th Congress of the City Fatherland Front for the 2024-2029 term.
“I believe that you, comrades - the exemplary Front cadres honored today will continue to promote and spread more widely the spirit of "Mind thinking, eyes seeing, ears listening, feet walking, mouth speaking, hands doing"; "Respecting the people, being close to the people, understanding the people, learning from the people and being responsible to the people"; continue to promote good qualities, the spirit of setting an example, being exemplary, steadfast in belief and knowing how to rely on the people to promote the great strength of the great national unity bloc in the new situation" - said the Standing Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee.
In order to recognize the great contributions of the staff of the Front at all levels of the city, at the Conference, the leaders of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and the leaders of Hanoi respectfully presented noble awards to outstanding collectives and individuals: The President awarded the Second Class Labor Medal to 1 individual; The Prime Minister awarded a Certificate of Merit to 1 individual; The Hanoi People's Committee awarded the title "Good People, Good Deeds" to 17 individuals, awarded Certificates of Merit to 2 individuals with achievements in implementing Directive 34-CT/TW of the Politburo on "Continuing to innovate emulation and reward work" in the period 2014-2024, and awarded the title "City Emulation Fighter" to 1 individual.
At the same time, the City People's Committee awarded Certificates of Merit to 60 individuals with outstanding achievements in the work of the Front in the period of 2019-2024. The City Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee awarded Certificates of Merit to 75 individuals with outstanding achievements in the work of the Front in the period of 2019-2024.
*Within the framework of the program, early this morning, July 13, delegates visited the Thang Long Imperial Citadel Relic Site.
Here, the delegates performed the ritual of offering literature and incense at Kinh Thien Palace. The delegation was introduced to the heritage site, visited the exhibition room, house and D67 tunnel. Next, the delegates experienced a tour of the old town by tram and moved to the Hall on the first floor of the Hanoi Party Committee Headquarters (No. 9, Ngo Quyen Street, Hoan Kiem District, Hanoi) to attend the Conference to honor outstanding City Front officials for the period 2019-2024.
