Recently, at the announcement ceremony of the Dalat Spring Concert international music project, a representative of the People's Committee of Da Lat City said that the music night with the participation of world music legends Liz Mitchell (Boney M), Joy and Samantha Fox, famous singers and bands of the 1970s-1980s will take place in the "city of thousands of flowers".
These events aim to build Dalat as a world-class music destination, concretizing Dalat's commitment to joining the UNESCO Creative Cities in Music network.
Ms. Tran Thi Vu Loan, Vice Chairwoman of Da Lat City People's Committee, excitedly shared about this important event of Da Lat, "with music nights like this, with 15,000 seats, about 20,000-25,000 visitors come to watch, filling Lam Vien Square".
It is known that Boney M and Joy came to Vietnam to perform 5 years ago. The concert attracted nearly 4,000 spectators and really caused a stir on social networking forums.
Unlike Boney M and Joy, Dalat Spring Concert is a special event marking the first time "Queen of 1980s Pop" Samantha Fox performed in Vietnam.
The once famous British sex symbol "conquered" the charts with hits such as: Touch me (I want your body), Nothing's Gonna stop me now, Just one night, Wanna please me, I only wanna be with you .
Dalat Spring Concert is scheduled to take place at 7:30 p.m. on December 21 at Lam Vien Square (Da Lat City, Lam Dong Province), promising to satisfy the expectations of thousands of music lovers.

According to experts, with a market in its potential form, international stars are like a "magic wand" that will bring distinguished guests from abroad to Vietnam. Because the music live shows are invested in grandly, with quality sound and a cast of international artists, in a natural space with a wide, open space with a beautiful view like Da Lat, will certainly bring many sublime emotions not only to the performing artists but also to the audience.
In fact, a series of famous shows by many Vietnamese music stars including Ha Anh Tuan, Le Quyen, Van Mai Huong, Phan Manh Quynh, Trung Quan, Duc Phuc, Dong Nhi, Hoa Minzy... took place at May Lang Thang or Lululola spaces, where stages located in the middle of nature with beautiful views all attracted a "huge" audience and were one of the reasons why a large number of tourists, including international ones, flocked to Da Lat on weekends to both relax and enjoy music even when Da Lat was not in peak tourist season.

According to market research firm Future Market Insights, in 2024, the global music tourism market will reach 6.4 billion USD, and it is predicted that in the next 10 years, world music tourism will reach 15 billion USD.
With many potentials and advantages, Da Lat in particular and Vietnam in general are also emerging in the Asian region when organizing large-scale and magnificent Music Festivals. Although the Vietnamese music industry is still young, in addition to Da Lat, we can build a model of a music city in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City...
To achieve that, there needs to be a change in awareness in cultural management at the local level, recognizing the power of music in developing the cultural industry and thereby building practical and effective policies.
On the other hand, to develop in a sustainable direction, it is necessary to create added values. Because tourists not only enjoy music but also want to immerse themselves in local culture, cuisine, explore new destinations, have memorable moments, and connect with people with the same passion.
