Strong winds, high waves and thunderstorms are forecast at sea from the evening of July 22 to July 23.

In addition, from the evening of July 22 to July 23, the Central and Southern East Sea (including the waters of the Truong Sa archipelago), the waters from Binh Thuan to Ca Mau, Ca Mau to Kien Giang and the Gulf of Thailand will have heavy rain and thunderstorms. There is a possibility of tornadoes and strong gusts of wind during thunderstorms.

The Hydrometeorological Agency warns that from the night of July 23 to July 24, the sea area from Binh Thuan to Ca Mau, the sea area south of the area between the East Sea and the sea area west of the South East Sea area (including the sea area west of Truong Sa archipelago) will have strong southwest winds of level 5, sometimes level 6, gusting to level 8-9, waves 2-3m high, rough seas.

Previously, the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting issued a forecast bulletin for the night of July 21 and July 22, in the Central and South Central regions, there were scattered showers and thunderstorms, locally heavy rain; the Southern Central Highlands and the South had showers and thunderstorms, locally heavy rain. The rainfall from 0:00 to 15:00 on July 22 was over 60mm in some places such as: Dong Tam (Quang Binh) 51mm, Ba Nam (Quang Ngai) 54.4mm, Phu Cat (Binh Dinh) 87.6mm, Dak Mol 5 (Dak Nong) 103.6mm, ...

From the evening of July 22 to July 24, the Central Highlands and the South will have moderate rain, heavy rain and thunderstorms, locally very heavy rain with common rainfall of 50-100mm, some places over 180mm (heavy rain concentrated in the afternoon and night).

It is forecasted that the Central Highlands and the South from 4pm on July 22 to 7pm on July 23 will have total rainfall of 30-50mm, with some places over 100mm; from 7pm on July 23 to 7pm on July 24, rainfall in this area will range from 20-50mm, with some places over 80mm. In addition, from the evening of July 22 to July 23, in the Central and South Central regions, there will be scattered showers and thunderstorms, with some areas having moderate to heavy rain with rainfall of 15-30mm, with some places over 60mm.

The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting warns of heavy rain in the Central Highlands and the South, and thunderstorms in the Central region that may last for the next 3-4 days. Beware of the risk of flash floods and landslides in mountainous areas and flooding in low-lying areas. Beware of heavy rain in a short period of time causing flooding in urban areas. During thunderstorms, there is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind.
