This is the new spacious house of Ms. Ly Thi Du (Nung ethnic group, in Van Khanh hamlet, Van Lang commune, Dong Hy district) supported by the National Target Program capital.

Records in Lan Quan hamlet - a particularly difficult hamlet of Tan Long commune with over 90% of Mong people, show that people's lives have changed a lot thanks to the effectiveness of ethnic policies. Ms. Ly Thi Sinh's family used to be a poor household in the hamlet, however, in 2023, her family escaped poverty thanks to financial support to build a house and develop production.

Ms. Sinh said: The family's previous 50 m2 house was dilapidated and we were worried that it would collapse during heavy rains and strong winds. The government supported us with 50 million VND from the provincial Fatherland Front, and we were able to build a new, solid house. My husband can go to work in the industrial park with peace of mind.

Similarly, in Van Khanh hamlet, Van Lang commune, Ms. Ly Thi Du, a Nung ethnic, was also supported with 46 million VND, and borrowed 40 million VND from the policy bank to build a house; support to buy a water tank to ensure environmental hygiene and a breeding cow. Ms. Du shared: Thanks to the attention of all levels and sectors, my family has a safe house, we will try to raise livestock and work well to avoid falling back into poverty...

The effective integration of national target programs combined with job creation has helped farmers, including ethnic minorities in Dong Hy district, escape poverty and develop the economy. In the past 2 years alone, the district has reduced the number of poor ethnic minority households by 998, equivalent to 8.38% (exceeding the set plan by 5.3%)...
