To achieve this goal, the District People's Committee has assigned specialized departments to coordinate with the People's Committees of communes and towns to develop poverty reduction plans, focusing on communes with high poverty rates.
Regarding support for building and replicating poverty reduction models: From 2022 to 2023, the district has supported the building and replicating of 18 poverty reduction models.
In addition, the District Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, in coordination with the Thai Nguyen Provincial Employment Service Center, advised on organizing 4 days of Job Fair in Trai Cau town and at Dong Hy High School. Thereby, 46 business units were connected to provide consultation and recruitment, and nearly 3,366 workers participated in receiving labor market information, job referral consultation, and career orientation; organized 17 mobile job fairs in communes; organized 16 vocational training classes for 503 rural workers, at the end of the training class, 100/100 students were granted vocational certificates; after training, 80% of students had jobs.
100% of officials working on poverty reduction are trained in basic knowledge and skills on program management and organization (from 2022 to June 2024, the District People's Committee coordinated with the Department of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs to organize 13 training courses for officials working on poverty reduction in the district and communes and towns in the district).
In addition, workers from poor households, near-poor households, and households that have just escaped poverty need support in connection, counseling, career orientation, provision of labor market information, and job search support.
From 2022 to June 2024, the district will provide health insurance support according to regulations for the poor: 9,597 cards with a total amount of 6,906.23 million VND, and 4,915 cards with a total amount of 5,201.9 million VND for the near-poor. 100% of children from poor and near-poor households go to school at the right age.
At the same time, coordinate with the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and local authorities, sectors, organizations, and units to provide housing support according to regulations for 95 poor and near-poor households from the Fund for the Poor, from the National Target Program for Socio-Economic Development in Ethnic Minorities and Mountainous Areas with a total budget of VND 3,233 million. At least 96% of poor and near-poor households use clean water; at least 60% of poor and near-poor households use clean toilets.
Dong Hy (Thai Nguyen) focuses on effectively implementing poverty reduction policies.
