With the theme "People of all ethnic groups in Dong Hy district unite, innovate, promote advantages, potentials, integrate and develop sustainably", the 4th Congress of Ethnic Minorities in Dong Hy district, Thai Nguyen province took place in an atmosphere of solidarity and excitement of the people and ethnic minorities in the district.
Accordingly, the Congress approved the Resolution Letter of the Congress for the period 2024 - 2029, with specific goals: striving to reduce the rate of poor ethnic minority households to below 8%; no more extremely disadvantaged communes; 100% of ethnic minority people have access to clean water for daily life; Preserving and developing the fine traditional cultural values and identities of ethnic groups; 100% of hamlets have standard Cultural Houses; 85% of hamlets have traditional cultural and artistic teams (CLBs) operating regularly and with quality; ensuring the rate of ethnic minority cadres, civil servants and public employees participating in agencies, organizations and units at district and commune levels reaches the rate according to Decision No. 402/QD-TTg dated March 14, 2016 of the Prime Minister on approving the Project on developing the contingent of ethnic minority cadres, civil servants and public employees in the new period...
The Congress also set out the goal of synchronously implementing solutions to contribute to improving the physical condition, stature, intelligence and health of ethnic minorities; effectively preventing child marriage and ending consanguineous marriage. Implementing well the health care work for ethnic minorities; maintaining hygiene in families and residential areas; preventing, stopping and repelling social diseases; Together preserving, conserving and promoting the good traditional cultural values of ethnic groups; eliminating backward customs; building cultural families and cultural villages, contributing worthily to the process of building and developing Vietnamese culture and people to meet the requirements of the country's sustainable development process...
Regarding the goals set out by the Congress, Meritorious Artist Hoang Van Mui, Khe Mong Hamlet, Van Lang Commune said: I am honored to represent the local ethnic minorities to attend the Congress of Ethnic Minorities in Dong Hy District this time. It is even more honored that at the Congress, I was awarded a Certificate of Merit by the Chairman of Thai Nguyen Provincial People's Committee for my outstanding achievements in ethnic work in the period of 2019 - 2024. This will be a great motivation for me to continue to promote my role and responsibility after the Congress to mobilize people to well implement the set goals in economic development, hunger eradication and poverty reduction as well as preserving and promoting the traditional cultural values of ethnic minorities in the area.
Similarly, Mr. Be Xuan Ngo, a prestigious person of La Thong hamlet, Hoa Trung commune, excitedly said: As a delegate attending the Congress, I, like other delegates, highly agree with the goals set out in the Resolution Letter of the Congress. This is the will, spirit, and goals of the ethnic minorities of Dong Hy district, including the people of Hoa Trung commune. After the Congress, I myself will absorb the content and spirit of the Resolution Letter, continue to promote my role and responsibility as a prestigious person to propagate and mobilize the people to change the economic model and escape poverty. At the same time, join hands with the local government to properly resolve all conflicts and problems arising right from the grassroots level; create consensus, build a united, peaceful and developed hamlet and village; resolutely not let "hot spots" and "complicated spots" of security and order occur.
Speaking at the Congress, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Binh, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Steering Committee for the 4th Provincial Congress of Ethnic Minorities in 2024, also expressed his wish that ethnic minorities in Dong Hy district will always unite, respect, share, support and help each other to develop together, contributing to strengthening the great national unity bloc. District leaders need to do a good job of thoroughly disseminating the success of the Congress to all cadres and people in the district, creating a strong change in awareness and action to promote the tradition of patriotism and the strength of great national unity, creating a vibrant competitive atmosphere... I believe that, with practical actions, ethnic minorities in Dong Hy district will unite together, determined to successfully implement the Resolution of the 4th Congress of Ethnic Minorities.
