Right in Cao Bang province, cooperatives, cooperative groups and production households are increasingly proactive in closely connecting with distribution units to expand the market for commercial activities, creating sustainable output for local products.

Ms. Hoang Thi Tam, Cao Bang General Trading Store, said: Although located in the mountainous area of ​​Cao Bang province, over the years, the store has always had a diverse source of goods, abundant in regional products. Two-way connection activities are increasingly closer and more connected between distribution units, stores, and production units such as cooperatives, cooperative groups and farmers. Local agricultural products are mostly typical, endemic products, OCOP products that are of interest to consumers, have strong consumption and stable prices.

Currently, thanks to this close connection, prices and goods supplied to the market are more stable, especially typical items such as: Huong Bao Lac sticky rice, red peanuts, peeled green beans, black sesame, white sesame, vermicelli, duck eggs, chickens meeting OCOP standards... These items are directly connected from the place of production to the place of consumption, so the intermediary layers are reduced, reaching consumers faster with higher product quality, reducing storage costs.

By linking from production to consumption, Ms. Hoang Thi Trang, owner of An Lanh agricultural food store (Song Bang ward, Cao Bang city) currently has nearly 100 products, of which 90% are local agricultural products belonging to food groups, fresh vegetables and fruits that are pre-processed and classified: To ensure a year-round supply of goods, we maintain the production of vegetables, tubers and fruits according to the model of 3,000 m2 of greenhouses and net houses in Nam Phong 2 hamlet, Hung Dao commune; linking with many gardeners and households in localities in the province to provide clean and safe products such as green vegetables, ginger, turmeric, honey, melon, black pork, green beans, peanuts, chicken, duck, eggs... Focusing on innovating sales methods, in addition to direct sales, we also accept shipping orders according to buyer needs. Currently, the consumption of agricultural products through the store's social networking sites accounts for over 50% of total revenue.

In recent times, the Cao Bang Provincial Women's Union has had many practical and specific activities to support women in economic development, promote production linkages, product consumption, and contribute to promoting trade in mountainous and remote areas. In particular, maintaining and improving the quality of 485 groups implementing models of production linkages, cultivation, animal husbandry, service business, economic development, and 8 cooperatives owned by women.

At the same time, we have entrusted the Social Policy Bank with 18,544 households/19,577 members; the Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development with 31 savings groups, 289 households borrowing capital; the Women's Development Support Fund, with 355 credit savings groups, 2,422 customers borrowing capital. Thereby, we have removed difficulties in capital sources so that women can confidently and boldly promote production and supply goods to the market.

Along with that, in mid-October, the Cao Bang Provincial Women's Union organized a training conference on "Skills in planning and developing startup idea proposals in 2024" for 70 members and women with startup ideas from 10 districts and cities.

Focusing on activities to support women's economic empowerment by the Women's Union at all levels; Project to support women's start-ups; Project to support cooperatives managed by women, creating jobs for female workers; Guidance on livelihood development, job creation, income increase, economic development for women with ideas to start a business, start innovative businesses; Personal financial management in family economic development; Guidance on planning for livestock, crop production, economic development; Writing proposals for start-up ideas, starting a business. Through the training course, it contributes to arousing the spirit of entrepreneurship, starting a business, promoting family economic development, enhancing economic empowerment for women. This is also an opportunity for women to learn about production and business experiences in the 4.0 era.
