On August 26, at the 8th Extraordinary Session of the 15th National Assembly, with the majority of delegates in favor, the National Assembly passed a Resolution approving the appointment of Mr. Do Duc Duy, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Yen Bai Provincial Party Committee, Head of the 15th National Assembly Delegation of Yen Bai Province, as Minister of Natural Resources and Environment for the 2021-2026 term with a vote of 426/426 delegates present in favor.

New Minister of Natural Resources and Environment Do Duc Duy received congratulatory flowers from Deputy Minister Nguyen Thi Phuong Hoa, Deputy Minister Le Cong Thanh and leaders of units under the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment.

Mr. Do Duc Duy was born in 1970, in Thuy Van commune, Thai Thuy district, Thai Binh province. He has a Master's degree in Construction; member of the 13th Party Central Committee; deputy of the 15th National Assembly, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of the 15th Yen Bai province.

New Minister of Natural Resources and Environment Do Duc Duy used to be a lecturer at the Faculty of Construction, Hanoi University of Architecture in February 1996.

More than 6 years later, in April 2002, Mr. Do Duc Duy was assigned to the Department of Organization and Personnel, Ministry of Construction and successively held the positions of specialist and Deputy Director of the Department of Organization and Personnel.

After that, Mr. Do Duc Duy worked as Chief of Office of the Ministry of Construction for nearly 3 years before holding the position of Deputy Minister of Construction in August 2015. In February 2017, Mr. Do Duc Duy was transferred and assigned to hold the position of Deputy Secretary of Yen Bai Provincial Party Committee, then elected as Chairman of Yen Bai Provincial People's Committee. From September 2020 to present, Mr. Do Duc Duy has been Secretary of Yen Bai Provincial Party Committee.
