Provincial Party Secretary Ha Thi Nga: Building a socio-economic development plan for 2025 to not miss any development opportunities

At the conference, delegates listened to the Party Committee of the Provincial People's Committee present the Provincial Socio -Economic Development Plan for 2025. Based on the assessment of the results achieved in implementing the Provincial Socio-Economic Development Plan for 2024, analyzing the limitations, weaknesses and causes, the draft Plan has set out the general goals for 2025 as follows: Continue to effectively exploit potentials, advantages, and link with provinces in the Northern midland and mountainous region and provinces and cities nationwide; promote innovation, promote economic growth, improve productivity, quality, efficiency and competitiveness of economic sectors; develop science and technology; digital transformation, green transformation, and develop a circular economy. Mobilize and effectively use resources; focus on improving the quality of human resources; develop infrastructure, especially transport infrastructure.

Strictly manage and effectively use land and resources, proactively prevent and combat natural disasters, and respond to climate change. Synchronously develop the economy with the development of cultural and social fields, protect the environment, ensure social security and welfare, and improve the material and spiritual life of the people. Resolutely prevent and combat corruption, negativity, and waste. Strengthen national defense and security, maintain political stability, social order and safety; effectively carry out foreign affairs and international integration. Bring Tuyen Quang province to develop fairly, comprehensively, and sustainably in the northern mountainous region.

Comrade Nong Thi Bich Hue, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, Head of the People's Council's Culture and Social Affairs Department spoke at the conference.

The draft Socio-Economic Development Plan for 2025 also sets out 5 guiding principles, 6 key tasks and 22 main targets.

Concluding the content, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Ha Thi Nga emphasized that the results achieved in 2024 clearly demonstrated the efforts and solidarity of the entire political system in the province. In particular, the province's economic growth rate is estimated at over 9.2%, the highest growth rate in the past 10 years, and the targets set for the forecast year are basically completed. This is an important premise for the province to enter 2025 with higher development goals.

The Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee agreed with the targets and solutions of the draft Socio-Economic Development Plan for 2025 implemented by the Party Committee of the Provincial People's Committee, and then submitted it to the Provincial People's Council for consideration and approval. He requested that it is necessary to closely assess the actual situation of the locality as well as assess and anticipate difficulties and challenges to complete the Socio-Economic Development Plan for the whole year 2025 appropriately, not to miss any development opportunities, and strive to achieve the highest goals set out in the Resolution of the Provincial Party Congress for the 2020-2025 term.

He noted that all levels of government should continue to thoroughly grasp the Government's directive on building a government for the people, a serving government, and a creative government to direct, manage, and organize the implementation of the set socio-economic development goals and tasks. Regarding the tasks from now until the end of the year, the Provincial Party Secretary requested that all levels, sectors, and localities need to closely coordinate in implementing the tasks, first of all, to remove difficulties and obstacles in implementing the goals and targets that are still low.

All levels and sectors continue to implement solutions to support people in overcoming the consequences of storm No. 3, determined to help people who lost their homes and those who had to evacuate from dangerous areas stabilize their homes before Tet. At the same time, proactively grasp the situation and effectively carry out the work of ensuring security and order.

The conference discussed the draft report on the settlement of state budget revenue and local budget expenditure in 2023; the estimate of local budget revenue and expenditure and the provincial budget allocation plan in 2025; some key indicators in the drafting of documents for district and commune-level Party Congresses... and many other important contents.
