With a deep understanding of the position and role of enterprises and entrepreneurs in the national construction, right after the success of the August Revolution in 1945, amidst the busy work of the newly established young State, on September 18, 1945, President Ho Chi Minh took the time to meet with enterprises and entrepreneurs to seek support and help in developing the economy and the country. After this meeting, the Ho Chi Minh Government received great material support from industrialists and merchants, thereby reducing financial difficulties for the Democratic Republic of Vietnam.

In a letter to Vietnamese businessmen on October 13, 1945, Uncle Ho wrote: "While other sectors in the country are working hard to gain complete independence for the country, the industrial and commercial sectors must act to build a stable and prosperous economy and finance" . In many other speeches and articles, Uncle Ho always advised the industrial and commercial sectors to promote initiatives, improve techniques, increase labor discipline, improve productivity and practice thrift. Businessmen must unite, take care of the workforce, build corporate culture, improve the material and spiritual life of cadres, workers and employees, regularly summarize good experiences and good examples, and replicate them throughout the country.
During the 5 times Uncle Ho visited Nam Dinh province, he visited and talked with the cadres and workers of Nam Dinh Textile Joint Stock Company (now Nam Dinh Textile and Garment Joint Stock Corporation) 3 times. Each time he visited the factory, Uncle Ho visited almost all the silk, yarn, weaving, dyeing, blanket workshops, etc., even the warehouse and the most stuffy machine rooms, visited the workers' dormitory, visited the kitchen, asked about their health and life, etc. That showed Uncle Ho's deep, meticulous, and detailed concern for the workers. He also advised the workers to uphold labor discipline and emphasized that the cadres and workers of the factory must unite in the context of many difficulties in the country. For the leaders, he also advised them to do a good job of improving enterprise management, developing the Party and the Youth Union, "must be united, cadres must truly rely on the workers, follow the mass line, and firmly grasp the Party's policies" . Remembering Uncle Ho's teachings and imbued with his ideology, generations of cadres and factory workers have always strived to build the enterprise, contributing their human and material resources to both the resistance war and national construction.
During the renovation period, overcoming the difficulties in the transition of economic management mechanisms; Nam Dinh Textile and Garment Joint Stock Corporation has always strived to adapt to new conditions and regain its position in the textile and garment industry. The unit's traditional emulation movements such as creative labor emulation, promoting initiatives, improving techniques, practicing thrift, fighting waste, training skilled workers... are still launched and maintained vigorously. From an initial yarn factory, up to now, the Corporation has 2 yarn factories, with a capacity of 71,000 spindles, of which there are over 50,000 modern, highly automated spindles; output of 1,300 tons of yarn/month; 1 Textile Company with 348 weaving machines, of which there are 96 high-speed TOYOTA Japanese weaving machines, the most modern today, with a total output of 1.8 million meters of fabric/month; 1 Towel Weaving Company with 35 towel weaving machines, output of 70 tons/month; 1 dyeing factory; 4 garment companies with 58 sewing lines, modern equipment, high automation, production capacity of 175 thousand Jacket products/month.
At present, the country's economic sectors in general, including the textile industry, are facing great challenges from the global economic recession, post-COVID-19 pandemic, production, employment and workers' lives are facing many difficulties. Promoting the spirit of "the more difficult, the more united", promoting discipline, striving to overcome difficulties, although production and business have not achieved the desired results, the Corporation always ensures tax payment, social insurance, no shutdown, no waiting; maintains jobs, stabilizes the lives of workers and preserves the team. Currently, the Corporation is focusing on continuing to relocate the factory to Hoa Xa Industrial Park, investing in additional modern equipment and machinery, improving production capacity, product quality to meet the requirements of promoting and expanding exports to markets such as China, Japan, Korea, the US, etc.
Together with Nam Dinh Textile and Garment Joint Stock Corporation, Nam Dinh businessmen concretize the study of Uncle Ho's ideology, morality and style to transform and follow, associated with active emulation, participating in all aspects of economic and social life. The whole province currently has 11,757 enterprises and 889 branches and representative offices with a total registered capital of 107,951 billion VND. The business community and businessmen of Nam Dinh have made many contributions, helping the province's socio-economic development tasks always achieve and exceed the province's goals, each year higher than the previous year. Looking forward to major anniversaries, including the 60th anniversary of Uncle Ho's visit to the Party Committee and people of Nam Dinh province (May 21, 1963 - May 21, 2023); On the 75th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's call for patriotic emulation (June 11, 1948 - June 11, 2023), enterprises have launched and organized practical emulation movements to study and follow Uncle Ho's teachings. In the agricultural sector, the emulation movements "Improving food safety quality", "Building high-tech agricultural production models", "Converting crop and livestock structure, building large-scale commodity production areas, building large fields", and promoting the response to the National Target Program of One Commune One Product OCOP associated with solutions for rural economic development. Enterprises in the industry and trade sector actively participated in the emulation movements "Effective labor - Sustainable development - Successful integration", "Emulation of good workers", "Promoting technical innovation initiatives", "Environmentally friendly enterprises", "Improving productivity, quality, efficiency, ensuring occupational safety and hygiene"; emulation "Green environment - clean stalls - good gestures"... Construction enterprises promote the movements "Ensuring and improving the quality of construction products", the Transport industry has the movement to build "Safe transport enterprises", promote the implementation of the campaign "All people implement the campaign "If you drink alcohol, do not drive". The Banking industry emulates "Solidarity, creativity, innovation, emulation to excellently complete the tasks of the Banking industry in 2023", "Emulation to excellently complete the work of debt reconciliation, analysis of customer loans"...
Through specific and practical activities, studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style in enterprises is increasingly spreading widely, not only improving the production and business efficiency of enterprises but also joining hands with the province to exceed socio-economic development targets, achieving new practical achievements, like beautiful flowers offered to beloved Uncle Ho./.
