This afternoon, June 27, candidates have just finished the math exam, the second subject in the 2024 high school graduation exam.
The math teachers of the Hoc Mai Education System commented: the 2024 exam basically has the same structure as the 2023 high school graduation exam and is similar to the reference exam announced by the Ministry of Education and Training on March 22, because this is the last year of teaching, learning and testing according to the 2006 General Education Program.
The math test is considered to be more difficult and will have fewer 10 points.
According to teachers, this will not cause any disruption to the candidates' revision, which is in line with the main purpose of graduation recognition. However, the exam will still have differentiation in the last group of questions to serve the purpose of university admission. The expected score range will fluctuate around 7 points, with very few 10 points.
In terms of knowledge content, the exam closely follows the structure and format of high school graduation exams in recent years, with 90% of the questions (45 questions) from the 12th grade program and 10% of the questions (5 questions) from the 11th grade program.
Regarding the difficulty of the exam, the above-mentioned group of teachers commented: about 45 questions in the exam (90%) are familiar types of questions that students have encountered and practiced during their review process. Of which, the first 38 questions are questions at the recognition - understanding level, which can be easily solved if you just have a solid grasp of the knowledge base.
2024 High School Graduation Math Exam Is Easier Than 2018!
The test has 5 questions of a classified nature and is part of the 12th grade knowledge section on the topics of complex numbers, functions, exponentials - logarithms, oxyz shapes and antiderivatives - integrals (similar to the 2024 reference test).
The application questions are mostly familiar types of questions that have appeared in official exams or exams of schools and educational departments (such as extreme values of functions, volume of solids of revolution, volume of prisms, etc.).
In addition, the exam has high-level application questions that are extremely difficult, making candidates confused in finding solutions such as questions 46 - 50 (code 110). Candidates need to be calm, quick-witted, and have good thinking skills to determine the solution, and at the same time, need to combine many knowledges in the subject to be able to solve these questions.
Teachers also commented: "In general, the exam closely follows the requirements of the goal of obtaining exam results for high school graduation, and at the same time, the differentiation of the exam lies in the last group of questions to serve the goal of university admission."
