Master Nguyen Thi Nhu Trang, Head of Reading Culture Department, Ho Chi Minh City General Science Library shared: "This activity is on the occasion of the 94th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Women's Union (October 20, 1930 - October 20, 2024). The library has collaborated with the Cinema Culture House in Ho Chi Minh City - Vietnam Film Institute to create this activity. The event is a space for children to show their love to their mothers on this meaningful day."
Parents and children enjoy this meaningful activity on October 20
The animated film The Picture for Mom is a paper-cut film, a simple, lovely story about family affection suitable for the anniversary atmosphere on the occasion of October 20. In addition, the meaningful expansion activity after watching the film is that parents will cut and paste a family picture with their children using paper. With the desire to strengthen the love between family members, children can connect and understand more with their parents.
"The library guides are also quite familiar with children's activity programs. Creating interest and excitement for the children is something we are constantly innovating to suit their psychology. The content brought to the children during the sharing session is carefully prepared by us to ensure its suitability and quality for them," said Ms. Nhu Trang.

During the movie watching session, the children had the opportunity to express their thoughts and love for their mothers, and participate in the mind-sharing challenge with their mothers. All of the above activities created an atmosphere of connection and fun entertainment among family members.
Sharing about spreading positive values to the community through meaningful activities at the Library, Ms. Trang said: "Most parents who bring their children here want their children to practice the habit of reading books and let them learn about the world around them through books.
I see that most parents will let their children get used to reading by choosing books in advance for them to access, then the children will gradually get used to reading and choose for themselves good books with content suitable to their interests and hobbies. In addition to coming here to read books, we also create community activities to connect children through knowledge sharing groups, to meet and exchange and learn from each other, creating a healthy community."
Mr. Tran Ngoc Minh (Tan Binh District - Ho Chi Minh City) and his wife and two children attended this activity. He said: "My wife and I often bring our children here on weekends, Saturdays and Sundays. I like the library space here, it is very comfortable and creative, there are many good books suitable for children. I have a 7-year-old child and a 4-year-old child. Giving our children access to books makes both of us feel very happy and limits the time our children spend on the phone."
