According to HK01 , Tse Chi-hwa passed away due to a heart attack at the age of 64. On October 24, an obituary appeared on social media posted by Tse Chi-hwa's son, Tse Thien-en, briefly explaining the arrangements for his father's funeral.
Actor Nicholas Tse passed away at the age of 64.
"My father, Ta Chi Hoa, passed away on October 22, 2024 due to a heart attack at the age of 64. We will hold a memorial service at the Shenzhen Funeral Home at noon on October 26 so that relatives and friends can come and pay their respects in person. The funeral and cremation will be held at 2 p.m. the same day," the obituary read.
Tse Chi-wah has been acting since 1988, appearing in more than 20 films, although he only played supporting roles. His most familiar role was as a bar owner in Shaolin Soccer , which was released in 2001 and grossed about $50 million worldwide. The film also starred Zhao Wei, Ng Man-tat, Tse Hien, and Tian Kai-man, earning Stephen Chow the Best Actor and Best Director awards at the Hong Kong Film Awards.
