Foreign Trade University admits candidates with a score of 23.5 or higher, while many other schools only require a score of 15-16 for a combination of three subjects.
After the Ministry of Education and Training announced the high school graduation exam scores, a series of universities announced the minimum scores for receiving applications for admission, also known as the threshold to ensure input quality.
Foreign Trade University is using the highest minimum score - 23.5, applied to all campuses, all majors and combinations. Compared to last year, the head office in Hanoi, the Ho Chi Minh City campus kept the minimum score, but the Quang Ninh campus increased by 3.5 points. Without priority points, candidates must achieve an average of nearly 8 points per subject to be eligible for admission.
Hanoi University of Industry has a minimum score of 17 to 23, with Information Technology being the highest. Hanoi University of Science and Technology also has a major that requires 23 points, which is Information Technology - Communications.
Meanwhile, many schools such as Hoa Sen University, Hong Bang International University, Gia Dinh University set the minimum score at 15, or an average of 5 points per subject. Duy Tan University considers candidates with a score of 14 or higher.

Universities are free to decide their own admission thresholds, except for the Pedagogy and Health sectors, which are regulated by the Ministry of Education and Training. According to the admission plan, the Ministry will announce the threshold to ensure the quality of admission to these two sectors on July 20.
Based on the floor score and predicted benchmark score, candidates can register, adjust and add their wishes an unlimited number of times on the common system of the Ministry of Education and Training until 5:00 p.m. on July 30.
