In recent times, PC Quang Binh has focused on investing and developing, expanding the distribution grid system to ensure energy security for the province's areas. The unit has also boldly applied modern technologies such as hot power repair, smart grid, SCADA/DMS to improve the efficiency and quality of power supply to customers. Thanks to that, the power grid system in the province has been increasingly improved, works to prevent overload, reduce power loss, and improve the reliability of power supply have been effective after being completed and put into use. Deputy Director of Quang Binh PC Vu Thanh Phong said: In order to ensure stable and continuous power supply during the Lunar New Year 2025, Quang Binh PC has directed its affiliated power companies and high-voltage grid enterprises to proactively deploy many effective solutions: Strengthening periodic inspections and load control of distribution substations during Tet, especially completing the exploitation of overload prevention construction investment projects; urgently checking and handling abnormalities on the power grid, control cabinets of Recloser, LBS, RMU to ensure good connection to the control center; conducting inspections and shooting thermal cameras on power lines and substations, especially at key locations. Quang Binh PC also urgently reviewed and inspected the operating status of medium and low voltage capacitor banks currently under management to promptly detect and handle abnormalities; Coordinate the development and implementation of plans to protect security, order, safety, and fire prevention for electrical works and grid operation locations...

In 2024, PC Quang Binh's commercial electricity output will reach 1,173 million kWh, an increase of 6.25% compared to 2023; electricity revenue will reach VND 2,476 billion, exceeding 13.04% compared to 2023; the electricity collection rate will reach 100%.
Currently, PC Quang Binh is receiving electricity from the national grid through 13 110kV power stations, with a total installed capacity of 595 MVA; solar power with a capacity of 39.71 MWp connected to the medium voltage grid and 49.5 MWp connected to the 110kV grid. Notably, PC Quang Binh has recently put the SCADA/DMS control center and smart grid into operation; switched 13/13 110kV substations to operate in unmanned mode and be monitored, connected and controlled... In addition, PC Quang Binh also implemented grid automation in the entire Dong Hoi city area and part of Quang Ninh, Quang Trach, and Ba Don districts with 21 22kV substations. Thereby, helping to automatically and accurately zone the points where incidents occur, quickly restore and transfer power to customers.
With the determination to "go one step ahead", PC Quang Binh has strongly implemented load management programs to contribute to ensuring safe operation of the power grid, such as: Power saving program, load adjustment (DR), focusing on investing in building grid sources to develop and ensure power sources for production and business in the period of 2021-2025. In 2024, the whole province saved 30.63 million kWh, reaching 2.61% of the total commercial electricity. In addition, PC Quang Binh continues to sign DR agreements with 27 major customers, is ready to participate in DR events when requested, and reports to the Department of Industry and Trade on the results of electricity supply and DR implementation in full and in accordance with regulations.
