Promote the application of scientific and technological research results into practice

(HNMO) – On June 16, in Hanoi, the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology held a regular press conference for the first 6 months of 2023.

In the first 6 months of 2023, the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology has stably operated the Earthquake Reporting and Tsunami Warning Center; VNREDSat-1 satellite; the operation of the Center for DNA Identification of Martyrs' Remains; operated the monitoring station system nationwide... to serve research work as well as provide information to ministries, branches and localities in management work; ensured the operation of 2 International Centers of Type II on Mathematics and Physics under the auspices of UNESCO; continued to implement the task of "Project to build a national center for big data storage and high-performance computing under the Academy". In particular, the stable operation of the Earthquake Reporting and Tsunami Warning Center and the monitoring station networks have actively contributed to warning work and minimizing damage caused by natural disasters.

Along with that, the Institute focuses on continuing to implement solutions to improve the quality of basic research, applied research and technology transfer, and training high-quality human resources...

Vice President of the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology Tran Tuan Anh said that in the last 6 months of 2023, the Institute will continue to effectively implement projects and tasks assigned by the Government and key scientific and technological tasks at the Institute level, aiming to apply research results into practice, in areas of special interest to public opinion such as: Biotechnology, DNA technology for identifying martyrs' remains, technology to support early warning of earthquakes and tsunamis, etc.

In addition, promote the publication of research works, especially focusing on improving the quality of international publications that meet international standards; improve the quality of products of scientific and technological tasks; strengthen technology incubation, apply science and technology to production and life; build and implement programs to attract highly qualified young scientists and staff. Promote the implementation of basic research programs, innovate the activities of the Institute's centers of excellence.
