(QBĐT) - The Provincial Civil Servants' Trade Union (CCTU) is one of the organizations that ended its operations in the spirit of Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW, dated October 25, 2017 of the 12th Central Executive Committee "Some issues on continuing to innovate and reorganize the apparatus of the political system to be streamlined and operate effectively and efficiently". However, through its operations, the Provincial Civil Servants' Trade Union has left outstanding marks in caring for the lives and improving the welfare of union members and workers.
As the "common home" of 53 grassroots trade union organizations (UC) with nearly 3,700 members, the provincial CCC has accompanied the union system to effectively carry out patriotic emulation movements, care for life, etc., creating an impression on union members and workers.
According to the representative of the provincial trade union, in order to create excitement and encourage union members and employees to actively work and perform their duties, every year the provincial trade union guides the grassroots trade unions to coordinate with the professional organizations to launch and register for emulation with criteria suitable to the practical situation of the agencies and units. Specifically, in 2024, the grassroots trade unions will continue to maintain and carry out well the emulation movements and campaigns, such as: "Good workers, creative workers", "Union members and employees of the provincial trade union compete to follow Uncle Ho's teachings", "Exemplary implementation of discipline, administrative discipline, building a cultural and civilized lifestyle", "Quang Binh provincial cadres, civil servants and public employees compete to implement office culture", "Cadres, civil servants and public employees say no to negativity", "Loyalty, responsibility, integrity, creativity"...
Through emulation movements with the spirit of innovation and creativity, union members and employees of the grassroots unions have made important contributions to the development of agencies and units in particular and to the outstanding socio-economic achievements of the province in general.
In performing its functions and tasks, the Provincial Trade Union has clearly demonstrated its role in representing and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of union members and employees; caring for the lives and improving the welfare of union members and employees. The Provincial Trade Union has guided all levels of unions and cadres and union members to actively participate in contributing constructive opinions to draft legal documents and policies of the province related to employees.

The trade unions in the bloc have actively coordinated with heads of agencies and units to organize conferences for cadres, civil servants, public employees, and workers; organized for cadres, civil servants, public employees, and workers to participate in giving opinions on amending and supplementing the internal regulations, rules, and work programs of the agencies and units; participated with professional organizations to improve working methods and conditions, and improve the quality of work.
Promote the representative role of trade unions in participating in councils for salary and rank increase, emulation and reward, discipline, etc.; participate professionally in training and fostering to improve the political, academic and professional qualifications of cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers.
In particular, in caring for the lives of union members and employees and in social activities, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Trade Union has developed, issued a plan and well organized the implementation of activities to care for Tet for union members and employees on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2025 with the motto "All employees have Tet" and "No one is left behind". On that basis, the grassroots trade unions have proactively coordinated with professionals to develop plans to care for and support the material and spiritual lives of union members and employees; focused on grasping the ideological situation, life, family circumstances; supervising the implementation of salaries, bonuses, regimes and policies for union members and employees at agencies and units.
Along with taking care of union members and workers, trade unions at all levels in the bloc actively carry out social activities, mobilizing union members and workers to respond and contribute to social funds, such as: Fund for Agent Orange victims, Child protection, For the poor... Many trade unions coordinate with professionals to visit and give gifts to Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, policy families, ethnic minorities, poor households, students with difficult circumstances who overcome difficulties to study well...
During the process of formation and development, it must be affirmed that the contribution of the provincial trade union is very remarkable, contributing to building a team of "both red and professional" union members and workers to join hands with the whole province to develop the socio-economy, ensure national defense, security and social security. Although when implementing Resolution No. 18, the provincial trade union will be dissolved; at the same time, the province will establish a new union of Party agencies and a union of government agencies, the mark of this union organization is always strong in the team of union members and workers.
The representative of the provincial Trade Union said that this restructuring aims to streamline the apparatus, improve operational efficiency, and focus resources on caring for the lives and protecting the rights of union members and employees. Therefore, the grassroots trade unions continue to closely coordinate with heads of agencies and units to do a good job of political and ideological work, raise awareness and responsibility to create high consensus among union members, civil servants, public employees, and employees; coordinate the implementation of regimes and policies for cadres, union members, civil servants, public employees, and employees affected by the restructuring of the apparatus.
