Congress of the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists of Tay Ninh province for the term 2024-2029

(NADS) - On the morning of December 6, in Tay Ninh, the Congress of the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists of Tay Ninh province for the 2024-2029 term took place solemnly.

Attending the Congress were Mr. Nguyen Van Thuong, E.VAPA/G - Member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam National Artists Association, in charge of the Southeast region; Ms. Tran Thi Thanh Thao - Head of the Department of Science, Education - Culture and Arts, Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department; Ms. Dang Thi Phuong - President of the Provincial Literature and Arts Association, Mr. Nguyen Thai Hoa - Head of the Tay Ninh Newspaper Reporter Department, Editor-in-Chief of the Literature and Arts Magazine, the Provincial Literature and Arts Association and members of the Provincial Vietnam National Artists Association.

Mr. Nguyen Van Thuong, E.VAPA/G - Member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists spoke at the Congress.

During the past term, the Provincial Association of Vietnamese Artists had 8 members and had many remarkable activities. Notably, many achievements were achieved. Specifically, in international competitions, it won 1 gold medal, 1 first prize, 3 silver medals, 1 bronze medal, 5 consolation prizes and 1 consolation prize held in Vietnam in 2021. National achievements, won 1 bronze medal, 1 second prize "Studying and following the moral example and style of Ho Chi Minh", 1 silver medal. Achievements in the Southeast region, won 2 bronze medals and 1 consolation prize. 1 member was commended by the Provincial People's Committee for his creative achievements in 2023, 1 member was awarded a commemorative medal and the ES.VAPA badge.

Mr. Nguyen Van Thuong, E.VAPA/G - Member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists presented flowers to congratulate the delegation attending the higher-level Congress.

At the Congress, some members gave their opinions on the direction of activities for the new term. Vietnamese Artist Le Bi suggested that the Vietnamese Artists Association organize photo appraisal training 2-3 times a year to create uniformity in the work of judging photos in art photography contests. The reward cost for gold medals is too low, for many years the reward has been at 5 million. Mr. Le Bi suggested raising the reward level to 8 million VND/gold medal, at the same time, the Vietnamese Artists Association should focus on educating the style and ethics of artists to avoid being affected. Artist Le Van Dinh suggested that in art photography contests, art photos should be judged according to two categories: flay cam photos and traditional photos, so as not to lose the beauty of traditional art photography...

Mr. Nguyen Van Thuong and Ms. Dang Thi Phuong presented flowers to congratulate the new Executive Committee.

The new Executive Committee was introduced to the Congress.

Speaking at the Congress, Mr. Nguyen Van Thuong acknowledged and praised the achievements of the Tay Ninh Province Association of Vietnamese Artists in the past term. At the same time, the Executive Committee member of the Association of Vietnamese Artists in charge of the Southeast region noted some activities of the Association in the new term.

The Congress elected the Executive Committee, Branch Chairman, Vice Branch Chairman for the new term, and elected delegates to attend the higher-level Congress. As a result, the Executive Committee, consisting of 2 people, was elected, including NSNAVN Nguyen Nhat Tuong, Branch Chairman; the delegation to attend the higher-level Congress consisted of 3 people and one alternate delegate.
