Da Nang City currently has 14,020 poor and near-poor households according to the multidimensional approach standards for the period 2022-2025, in dire need of attention, support and assistance to improve their lives and escape poverty sustainably.
Promoting the tradition of solidarity "Mutual love, mutual support - Sharing love", the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Da Nang City launched and mobilized agencies, organizations, units and cadres, civil servants, public employees, and workers receiving salaries from the State budget in the city to actively participate in the Peak Month "For the Poor" in 2023.
Specifically, each cadre, civil servant, public employee, and worker receiving salary from the State budget will contribute 1 day's salary to the city's "For the Poor" Fund.
For production and business units, depending on the conditions of the unit, they are interested in supporting the city's "For the Poor" Fund to share difficulties with poor households, near-poor households, and people in difficult circumstances in the city.
Responding to the movement "The whole country joins hands for the poor - No one is left behind", over the years, the "For the Poor" Fund of Da Nang City has always received the attention and leadership of Party committees at all levels, the coordination of the Government; the support of departments, branches, unions, agencies, units, enterprises, the consensus and support of cadres, party members, civil servants, employees, workers, and philanthropists.
From the mobilized funds, the Front at all levels has supported the construction and repair of Great Solidarity houses; provided livelihoods to poor households; supported scholarships for students and pupils of poor households who have overcome difficulties to study well; supported people with serious illnesses and took care of the poor during Tet, contributing to the effective implementation of the city's poverty reduction and social security program.
