The People's Committee of Da Nang City has just approved the acceptance of the International Volunteer Program in the city sponsored by Activity International (Netherlands) with a total value of over 3.5 billion VND.

The program aims to actively contribute to the city's social security policy by supporting children, people with disabilities and the elderly in difficult circumstances; supporting vocational training for disadvantaged groups in need of work; guiding, exchanging and teaching English; participating in environmental protection projects; learning about the country, people, culture of Vietnam and Da Nang city.

Thereby, contributing to promoting and promoting tourism, investment cooperation, foreign non-governmental aid for Da Nang; building and strengthening friendly relations and cooperation with the city's people.

The main results of the program are to enhance behavioral capacity for people with disabilities; care for and improve the health of lonely elderly people without support; contribute a part of the material facilities to social assistance facilities, and contribute to improving English language proficiency for people in Da Nang city.

The program will be implemented from now until July 15, 2026 at the City Social Protection Center; the City Center for Supporting the Development of Inclusive Education for Children with Disabilities; the City Orphanage Center; the Friendship Foreign Language Center under the City Union of Friendship Organizations and a number of kindergartens and primary schools in the city.

The City People's Committee assigned the City Union of Friendship Organizations to coordinate with relevant units to carry out procedures to receive and implement the program for the right purpose; to properly implement the Government's regulations on the management and use of non-refundable aid not included in official development assistance from foreign agencies, organizations and individuals for Vietnam.
