Look up your 10th grade exam scores in Ho Chi Minh City by logging in with your registration number and checking your scores, or you can check your scores on the website of the Department of Education and Training.

When knowing the exam score, candidates compare with the official answer key announced by the Department of Education and Training. All candidates can apply for a review of their exam scores. According to regulations, candidates submit the application for review at the place where they submitted their exam application.

The time to receive appeal applications is from June 21-24. Also during this time, schools will print out grade 10 exam score reports for candidates. The appeal results will be announced on June 30.

The scores of the exams after review are the official scores of the candidates and are updated to the system. Candidates will receive a new score sheet (when there is a change in score) at the school they registered for admission.

June 24th announcement of benchmark scores

On June 24, the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City plans to announce the admission scores for grade 10 specialized schools, specialized classes and integrated classes and direct admission results.

From June 25-29, candidates admitted to specialized schools, specialized classes and integrated classes, and direct admission must submit their application to the school where they registered. After 4:00 p.m. on June 29, candidates who do not submit their application will be removed from the school's admission list.

From July 2-4, the list of candidates admitted after the review will be reviewed. On July 5, high schools with specialized and integrated admissions will accept candidates admitted after the review.

On July 10, the benchmark scores for public grade 10 and the list of successful candidates will be announced. Students in Ho Chi Minh City will have 20 days to complete admission procedures from July 11 to August 1.

How is the admission score calculated?

How to calculate admission scores to grade 10 public high schools as follows:

Admission score = Literature exam score + Foreign language exam score + Math exam score + Priority points (if any)

The test score is the sum of the component scores of each question in the test. The test score is given on a scale of 0 to 10, with a decimal point of 0.25. The maximum bonus points for priority beneficiaries is 3 points. Successful candidates must take all 3 tests and not receive a score of 0 in any test.

Based on the enrollment quota of each school, the number of applications and admission scores, the Department of Education and Training will review and announce the admission scores of each school according to the principle that the admission score for the second choice is higher than the admission score for the first choice and the admission score for the third choice is higher than the admission score for the second choice.

Students' admission will be based on the 3 wishes that the student has registered in order of priority from wish 1 to wish 2 and finally wish 3. Schools are only allowed to accept students who have passed the 10th grade entrance exam according to the list approved by the Department of Education and Training.

How to calculate admission scores to specialized schools and specialized classes as follows:

Admission score = Literature exam score + Foreign language exam score + Math exam score + Specialized subject exam score x 2 + Priority points (if any).

The method of calculating admission scores for non-specialized classes in specialized schools is as follows:

Admission score = Literature exam score + Foreign language exam score + Math exam score + Priority points (if any).

The test score is the sum of the component scores of each question in the test. The test score is given on a scale from 0 to 10, with decimal points up to 0.25.

Admission principles: Only consider candidates who are eligible to take the exam, have taken all required exams, have not violated the Admission Regulations and all exams have scores above 2 points; Consider from high to low to recruit enough assigned quota.

The method for calculating admission scores for integrated programs is as follows:

- For students participating in the Integrated English Program at secondary school level in Ho Chi Minh City:

Admission score = Literature exam score + Foreign language exam score + Math exam score + Average score of integrated English program + Priority points (if any).

- For students who do not participate in the Integrated English Program at secondary school level in Ho Chi Minh City:

Admission score = Literature exam score + Foreign language exam score + Math exam score + Integrated English exam score + Priority points (if any).

Only consider candidates who are eligible to take the entrance exam, have taken all required exams, have not violated the regulations during the entrance exam and have not scored 0 on any exam.

According to statistics from the 10th grade entrance exam board in Ho Chi Minh City in 2023, the score distribution of this year's exam subjects did not fluctuate much. Specifically, the number of Math exams with above-average scores accounted for nearly 55%, with scores concentrated at 5-7 points. The number of candidates scoring 10 points was lower than last year.

About 32% of the foreign language test scores were excellent (8 points or higher). This is also the test with the highest number of candidates scoring 8 points or higher in this year's exam. The number of candidates scoring 10 points increased compared to last year, reaching about 2.2% of the total number of candidates taking the exam.

About 90% of the Literature exams scored above average, with more than 12% of the exams scoring 8 points or higher. According to the 10th grade entrance exam marking council in Ho Chi Minh City, the number of candidates scoring zero points in Literature and Math this year has decreased significantly compared to last year.
