In order to effectively implement Directive No. 18/CT-TU dated September 4, 2012 of the Central Party Secretariat on "Strengthening the Party's leadership in ensuring traffic order and safety on roads, railways, inland waterways and overcoming traffic congestion"; Directive No. 23-CT/TW dated May 25, 2023 of the Central Party Secretariat on strengthening the Party's leadership in ensuring traffic order and safety in the new situation.
Recently, the Department of Information and Communications of Bac Ninh province has issued a Plan to organize the "Traffic Safety" Model and Initiative Competition in Bac Ninh province in 2023. The competition aims to encourage the development of capabilities and creativity in initiatives in the management and operation of infrastructure, means of transport... to create solutions to ensure traffic order and safety, overcome and solve traffic safety problems.
The contest includes 4 topics: Solutions to prevent and combat traffic congestion; Solutions to raise the sense of responsibility of traffic participants; Solutions to detect and prevent violations of alcohol concentration when participating in traffic; Solutions to detect and prevent oversized, overloaded vehicles, and vehicles carrying more than the prescribed number of people when participating in traffic.
Contestants include departments, branches, unions, localities, organizations and individuals inside and outside the province who have traffic safety initiative models that have been implemented or are expected to be implemented in Bac Ninh province.
In May 2023, the contest was officially launched with the hope that through the contest, it will continue to effectively promote the content of the Provincial Party Committee's Resolution, the Provincial People's Committee's Plan and the Central and Provincial directives on building a "Traffic Safety Province". The submission period is from May 2023 to September 30, 2023.
From 1-15/10/2023: Preliminary Round. From 16-26/10/2023: Final Round. From 27/10-3/11: Final Round. The Closing and Award Ceremony will take place at the end of November 2023.
The contest has a total prize value of 164 million VND, including 1 First prize of 40 million VND; 2 Second prizes of 30 million VND; 2 Third prizes of 20 million VND; 3 Encouragement prizes of 8 million VND.
The jury will include leaders of the Department of Information and Communications and specialized departments; leaders of specialized departments - Provincial Police; leaders of specialized departments - Department of Transport; leaders of specialized departments - Department of Science and Technology, Traffic Safety Committee and a number of specialized experts.
The contest is organized with the hope of mobilizing collective strength, encouraging the participation of agencies, units, organizations and individuals in the province, searching for good and effective models, promptly rewarding and propagating, replicating thereby creating a ripple effect for effective application in practice.
Help people improve their understanding of traffic safety laws, raise awareness of traffic safety law compliance, people's responsibility when participating in traffic and build a civilized, modern and safe traffic culture.
