Emulation cluster of Journalists Associations in coastal and Northern Delta regions summarizes emulation work in 2023

On December 9, in Ninh Binh city, the Emulation Cluster of Journalists Associations of the coastal and Northern Delta regions held a conference to summarize emulation work in 2023 and deploy tasks for 2024.

Comrade Bui Ngoc Quang, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Editor-in-Chief of Ninh Binh Newspaper, Chairman of the Provincial Journalists Association, Head of the Emulation Cluster chaired the conference. Also attending were leaders of the Journalists Associations of 8 provinces and cities in the coastal and Northern Delta regions.

The emulation cluster of the Journalists Associations in the coastal and Northern Delta regions currently has 1,251 directly managed members and over 200 officials and members who are reporters from resident agencies participating in activities with the local Journalists Associations.

In 2023, the Journalists Associations of provinces and cities in the Emulation Cluster closely followed the leadership and direction of the provincial and municipal Party Committees, striving to maintain and improve the quality and efficiency of their activities, affirming the role and position of the Association in the locality.

All aspects of the Association's work are comprehensively and effectively implemented. Political and ideological education, ethics, and working style of cadres, members, and journalists are enhanced, contributing significantly to improving the quality of journalism activities.

The work of developing the Association's organization and members is focused on, promptly supplementing and perfecting the Executive Committee's personnel and branch personnel according to the Association's Charter.

Regarding the organization of activities and emulation movements, the Emulation Cluster has coordinated with the Journalists Associations of provinces and cities to participate in the exhibition booth at the National Press Festival in 2023; successfully organized the Press Festival, fine art exhibition or spring newspaper display... in the locality, creating a positive impression and spread.

In 2023, the Journalists Associations of provinces and cities in the Cluster nominated and selected hundreds of high-quality press works to participate in competitions organized by the Central Government. One work won the A prize, three works won the C prize, three works won the consolation prize of the National Press Award; three works won the National Press Award on Party building; eight works won the National Television Film Festival...

At the conference, delegates exchanged and discussed contents to better implement the emulation tasks of the Cluster in 2024. Focusing on a number of contents: Continuing to thoroughly grasp and effectively implement resolutions, directives and regulations of the Party and State on the orientation of the activities of the Journalists Association in the new situation; doing a good job of propaganda, education and training to improve the political level, professional capacity and professional ethics for members; focusing on implementing the emulation movement "Building a cultural environment in press agencies", "Criteria for cultural press agencies and culture of Vietnamese journalists"; motivating and encouraging the team of cadres, members and journalists to strive in creating and disseminating high-quality press works; advising the Party Committee, authorities, coordinating with departments, branches and organizations to maintain the organization and expand and improve the quality of the Press Awards of the provinces and cities in the Cluster; Actively participate in building clean and strong grassroots party organizations, agencies and unions. Do a good job of protecting the legitimate rights and interests of members, care for and create conditions to improve the material and spiritual life of cadres and members...

The conference unanimously proposed to award the Certificate of Merit of the Vietnam Journalists Association to the Ninh Binh Provincial Journalists Association and the Hai Duong Provincial Journalists Association; and to award the emulation flag of the Vietnam Journalists Association to the Hai Phong City Journalists Association. At the same time, the rotating flag was awarded, the tasks of the Head and Deputy Head of the Emulation Cluster of the Coastal and Northern Delta Journalists Associations in 2024 were handed over to the Nam Dinh Provincial Journalists Association and the Hai Phong City Journalists Association; and the emulation agreement for 2024 was signed.
