According to Ms. Nguyen Huong Mai (31 years old, Quynh Luu, Nghe An, the person who posted the clip), the character in the clip is her grandmother. Her name is Pham Thi Diu, she is 103 years old this year. Although she has to rely on her children and grandchildren to walk, she still travels nearly 300km to her hometown to visit her parents' graves to burn incense and remember her parents.
Sharing with Dan Tri reporter, Ms. Mai said that the clip was filmed on February 21, when her whole family returned from Nghe An to Hung Yen to celebrate her maternal grandfather's death anniversary. That special bus trip had the presence of Mr. Diu and all the children and grandchildren in the family.

"Although my grandmother is old, she has never forgotten the anniversary of her mother's death (Mrs. Diu's biological father). She still remembers clearly the day her mother passed away, which was January 12 (Lunar calendar). Her hometown is Hung Yen. Due to her old age and financial constraints, every year on the anniversary, she usually prepares a meal and makes offerings in Nghe An.
This year, she wanted to return to Hung Yen to celebrate her mother's death anniversary and burn incense, so she asked her children and grandchildren to prepare offerings and rent a car to go home. Hearing her suggestion, my whole family was very supportive and moved because it had been 5-6 years since she had the chance to return home. In particular, this was the first year she returned to celebrate her mother's death anniversary with all her children and grandchildren present," Ms. Mai shared.
The nephew added that since the date of her return to her hometown was "fixed", Mrs. Diu was so happy that she couldn't sit still. Even the night before the return, she couldn't sleep, just hoping for the morning to come quickly so the car could pick her up. Seeing this, the whole family stayed up with her, talking to her.
"When her children and grandchildren agreed to take her back to her hometown, the whole family could clearly see the joy on her face. She kept asking her children and grandchildren if they had prepared enough offerings. Although she was old and had difficulty walking, she was very excited for this trip.
During the nearly 300km journey from Nghe An to Hung Yen, everyone was worried about her health. Sitting in the car from midnight to morning to get there made everyone in the family tired, only she kept saying she wasn't tired or had any back pain," Ms. Mai said.

Loving her, Ms. Mai and her family members, although quite tired, were still by her side, helping her fulfill her wish for her deceased mother.
"She sat for hours next to her mother's grave, muttering to herself. Sitting in one place for so long made her legs swell. Witnessing that scene, her children and grandchildren, although very sorry, tried to hold back so she wouldn't cry," said Ms. Mai.
After sharing her grandmother’s story on social media, Mai received many congratulatory messages, along with wishes for good health. Many people expressed their gratitude because the grandmother’s actions helped them reconsider how they treat their parents and family members.
"From the past until now, she has always taught her children and grandchildren to live with respect, be polite and filial to their parents. When I witnessed her actions towards her parents, I was even more moved.
I just hope she lives a healthy and peaceful life so that every year her children and grandchildren can take her back to visit her hometown," Ms. Mai said emotionally.
