Ba Ria - Vung Tau announced enrollment to study in Cuba in 2025, with candidates over 16 years old and under 25 years old, graduated from high school, must have good political and moral qualities.
On January 8, the People's Committee of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province said that it had issued a document requesting the Department of Education and Training and the Department of Home Affairs to announce the content of enrollment to study in Cuba in 2025 to high schools, universities, colleges and departments, branches, agencies, units and localities in the area to widely inform candidates interested in the program.

Accordingly, in Ba Ria-Vung Tau, there are 14 full scholarships for university training. Of which, 7 are for medical students and 7 are for other majors trained at educational institutions under the management of the Cuban Ministry of Higher Education in the 2025-2026 school year. The training period is 5-6 years (including 1 year of preparatory language study).
The government of this country waives tuition fees, provides health insurance and arranges accommodation according to Cuban regulations. The Vietnamese government provides round-trip airfare, travel expenses, passport and visa fees and subsistence allowance according to current regulations for scholarship students studying in Cuba.
Candidates must be over 16 and under 25 years old, have graduated from high school; have good political and moral qualities; not be under disciplinary action or under disciplinary review by a competent authority; and have not registered for any other scholarship program of the Ministry of Education and Training.
Candidates commit to completing the training program and returning to serve at the sending agency or as required by the state. Those who do not complete the training program, drop out of school, are forced to drop out of school, or do not return to the country after graduation or do not fully fulfill their responsibilities as scholarship recipients must reimburse the training costs according to current regulations.
The language used during the study is Spanish. Candidates who do not know the language will be arranged to study 1 year of preparatory Spanish in Cuba before entering the major.
The leader of the Department of Education and Training of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province said that candidates must pass the Spanish proficiency test, and attend and pass the entrance exam for the specialized course to be officially accepted into the specialized course. If they do not pass these exams, candidates must return home and reimburse the entire training cost to the state or switch to self-funded study. The deadline for online registration is May 1, 2025.
