(Dan Tri) - An old woman selling fruit walked into a bar to offer her food, but no one bought anything. Seeing this, a young man with a "fierce" appearance called her over and did something that touched netizens.
A clip recording the young man's unexpected action with an old woman selling fruit on the street recently went viral, causing strong emotions in the online community.
In the clip, when he saw an old lady entering the shop to offer fruit but no one bought it, the young man ran out of fruit so the old lady could leave early.
The fierce young man with tattoos all over his body bought all the fruit for the old lady, making many people admire him (Photo cut from clip: Provided by the character).
When the old lady was about to give her change, the young man waved his hand to stop her and gave her the remaining money, surprising her.
The clip was posted and attracted more than 8.4 million views and hundreds of thousands of interactions on social networks.
"Looking at the old lady, I suddenly remembered my mother. So when I saw you generously helping her, I was very touched. Not everyone with tattoos is aggressive and fierce. We learn the lesson that we should not judge others by their appearance," commented a social media account.
According to Mr. Hung (29 years old, living in Da Nang), the fierce young man in the clip, this is not the first time he has supported street vendors.
"There are many elderly people and even children who sell on the streets until almost midnight and still can't rest. Every time I see that scene, I feel sorry for them, so I often buy to support the poor workers so they can go home and rest, not have to run around in the dangerous late night," Mr. Hung confided.
The young man shared that on his journey to make a living and establish a career, he had experienced many difficulties, so he understood the situation of the poor workers very well. So when his life was stable, he wanted to help the difficult people he met, within his ability.
Mr. Hung said that even though it was just a small action, he still wanted to share the story to spread and encourage more people to be generous in giving and helping those who are less fortunate than themselves.
In other clips, Hung always gives all 100,000-200,000 VND to support street vendors, even if he only picks up 1-2 items.
"When I help others, I don't think that much. But the feeling afterwards is an indescribable joy. If what I do can inspire compassion, similar actions will help more poor people," Mr. Hung confided.
