Announcing the new phase of Da Nang planning

On the morning of November 25, at the Administrative Center, Da Nang City held a ceremony to announce the planning of Da Nang City for the period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050.

In addition, the announcement ceremony was also held online at the bridge points of the People's Committees of districts and communes with the participation of leaders of districts, communes and wards in the area.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Le Trung Chinh, Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Nang City, said that this is an extremely important legal basis, creating a solid corridor for the sustainable development of this City in the new period.

Implementing the 2023 theme "The year of focusing on unlocking resources, attracting investment, maintaining economic growth and ensuring social security", Da Nang city has actively deployed key tasks and solutions to ensure the completion of established targets; the city's economy continues to recover despite still facing many difficulties and challenges; social security is ensured; national defense and security are maintained.

The service sector continues to be a bright spot, contributing positively to the overall growth of this city. Tourism activities continue to develop strongly, attractive events and tourism products and services are continuously organized, attracting a large number of tourists to Da Nang.

The event was attended by nearly 700 delegates including Government leaders and representatives of relevant ministries and branches.

The city continues to promote investment activities, approach and invite domestic and foreign investors to invest in the city.

As of November 15, Da Nang City has newly issued and adjusted Investment Policy Decisions/Investment Registration Certificates for 40 projects with a total registered investment capital of nearly 47,000 billion VND; attracting nearly 200 million USD in FDI capital.

“Based on the summary and assessment of the socio-economic results in 2023, the city is developing a socio-economic development plan for 2024. Accordingly, the Da Nang City Planning for the period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050 approved by the Prime Minister at this time, is even more important for the city to develop a suitable growth scenario, identify key indicators and solutions for effective implementation in the coming time on the basis of maximizing the exploitation of all local internal resources.

At the same time, the City will strongly attract external resources, creating stronger growth momentum and breakthroughs so that the city can complete its socio-economic development goals in the new period," Mr. Chinh emphasized.

The Announcement Ceremony was held to publicize information about the Da Nang City Planning for the period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050, approved by the Prime Minister in Decision No. 1278/QD-TTg dated November 2, so that agencies, units, localities, business communities and people can know and implement it.

The Da Nang City Planning for the period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050, is built in a unified and synchronous manner with the socio-economic development strategy of the whole country, the national strategy on green growth and sustainable development; scientifically integrated and linked with Resolution No. 26-NQ/TW dated November 3, 2022 of the Politburo on socio-economic development and ensuring national defense and security in the North Central and Central Coast regions to 2030, with a vision to 2045.

At the same time, this planning also fully and creatively applies the viewpoints and development orientations of Resolution No. 43-NQ/TW dated January 24, 2019 of the Politburo on building and developing Da Nang city to 2030, with a vision to 2045.

The Da Nang City Planning for the period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050, is an extremely important legal basis, creating a solid corridor for the sustainable development of this City in the new period.

The content of the Plan clearly states the viewpoints, goals and development directions of the city until the end of the planning period as well as the vision to 2050; concretizes the viewpoints and goals of socio-economic development, ensuring regional defense and security issued by the Politburo on the construction and development of Da Nang city in Resolution No. 43-NQ/TW and ensures the connection and synchronization in the development orientation between the city's sectors and fields, promoting the potentials and strengths of Da Nang city.

At the announcement ceremony, Da Nang City will propose the expected contents to implement the Da Nang City Planning for the period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050, in order to orient the development of the Plan to implement the Da Nang City Planning for the period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050 in the coming time.

Within the framework of the announcement ceremony, there was also the activity of granting Investment Registration Certificates and Investment Policy Approval Decisions to 7 projects, including 6 projects with domestic investment capital (1 project with increased investment capital) and 1 project with foreign investment capital that has just been licensed in the locality recently with a total investment capital of more than 9.3 trillion VND.
