On April 10, Thuy Xuan Ward Police (Hue City, Thua Thien Hue Province) said they had worked with Mr. NNT (47 years old, residing in Thuy Xuan Ward, Hue City) regarding the act of reporting false and untrue information to competent agencies and organizations.
Previously, Mr. T. called the hotline of Thua Thien Hue Provincial Police to report that someone had glued and stuck iron on the family gate lock.

After receiving the report, Thua Thien Hue Provincial Police directed functional forces to resolve the incident.
When the authorities arrived, Mr. T.’s mother said that there was no incident as he reported, and that no one had disturbed public order. Mr. T. had consumed alcohol before, and by the time the police arrived to resolve the matter, he had gone to sleep.
Working with the authorities, Mr. T. confessed to reporting false information to competent agencies and organizations.
According to the police, the act of reporting false or untrue information to competent agencies or organizations can result in an administrative fine of up to 3 million VND or criminal prosecution if the consequences are serious.
