The eligibility to apply for a volunteer position at the 2024 Olympics is to be 18 years old on January 1, 2024.

On March 21, the Paris 2024 Olympic Volunteer Program (France) was officially launched, with an announcement to seek 45,000 volunteers to work at the Paris Olympics taking place from July 26 to August 11, 2024, as well as at the Paralympic Games from August 28 to September 8 of the same year.

According to the Paris 2024 Olympic Organizing Committee, an online portal was launched on March 22 for those interested in volunteering for the two events. The deadline for registration is May 3.

"Volunteers are the ones who help us convey our passion and act as a bridge to other stakeholders. They play a leading role in French sport, as well as in the organization of the Games. They will be the face of the Paris 2024 Olympics," said Tony Estanguet, president of the Paris 2024 Olympic Organizing Committee.

With the goal of an Olympics for everyone, organizers also plan to recruit at least 3,000 disabled volunteers.

"People with disabilities often lack self-confidence and think they have no place at events like this," said France's minister for people with disabilities, Genevieve Darrieussecq. "And here we want to tell them: 'No, quite the opposite. You are not excluded, we need your support.'"

The conditions for volunteering at the 2024 Olympics are that you are 18 years old on January 1, 2024, can speak French or English and can guarantee your presence in Paris at least 10 days before the opening of the Olympics or Paralympics.
