Born in 2004 in Ha Tinh, Le Thi An has been through a challenging journey since she was 18. During the Covid-19 pandemic, An was diagnosed with bone cancer - a disease that forced her to choose between bone replacement and amputation of one leg.

To save money and increase the chance of successful treatment, An decided to amputate her right leg - not an easy decision for a young girl. In 2022, An completed her treatment regimen. From a beautiful, vibrant girl, An had to start getting used to a new life with only one leg.

At the end of 2023, she chose the Will to Live Center as her new companion. An wants to have a career so that even if she cannot help her mother, she can take care of herself so that her mother will no longer worry.

Here, after a 6-month course, An not only mastered technology skills but also regained confidence to integrate into life. With a lot of help from teachers and friends, An got a job in her field of study, which is data labeling at Testwork Vietnam Company - a partner of the Center for Will to Live.

Not only is Le Thi An a resilient individual, she is also an active member of the Vietnamese team at GiTC 2024. GiTC is an annual competition that brings together disabled youth from many countries in the Southeast Asian region. The goal of the competition is not only to promote IT skills, but also to encourage confidence, integration and self-affirmation in the international community.

During the training and competition, she and her teammates supported each other, creating a beautiful image of the spirit of Vietnamese people with disabilities. In the "Best Excel" competition, An's excellence contributed to helping the Vietnamese team win the highest prize. The moment their names were called at the award ceremony, An and the members could not hide their emotions . "We are not only competing for ourselves but also carrying the pride of the Vietnamese disabled community," An shared.

Currently, An has a stable job, but she does not stop there. She wishes to return to the Center for Living Power as a mentor, to continue to inspire and support young people in similar situations.

At the Love Station program, Le Thi An wants to share her story with many people, to spread the message of love because life is still long ahead and for people with disabilities, each day of life means a lot of effort and hard work. "Giving people with disabilities a career is giving them a future. I hope I can help others overcome their inferiority complex and confidently integrate into society," An shared with determination.

Participating in the stage makeup challenge, Le Thi An made a strong impression with her energetic face, always prioritizing bright colors. For An, no matter the circumstances, she always wants to aim for bright things, from her avatar on social networks to the little things in life. That is the motivation An creates for herself, and that is also the way the young girl encourages herself in her daily life.

The inspirational story of Le Thi An and her friends will appear in Love Station with the theme "Conquering Yourself" broadcast at 10:00 on January 25 on VTV1 channel.
