Divide time reasonably, don't work at night

Betting her "ticket" to university on the results of the 2023 high school graduation exam, Phan Thi Anh Thu (12C7 student at Nong Cong 1 High School, Thanh Hoa province) feels very worried as the exam day is approaching.

"Those who have been admitted directly are more stable, but those who are admitted to university based on their high school graduation exam scores like me are very nervous and scared. Many times when I am studying, thinking about the atmosphere in the exam room, I suddenly feel panicked," Anh Thu shared.

However, unlike many other students who have a busy schedule of extra classes, Anh Thu only studies at school and then studies at home. According to Anh Thu, it is better to exploit all of your strengths than to search for many sources but not be able to synthesize them.

Rushing to attend extra classes during this "sprint" time with the thought of "cramming" more knowledge is not necessarily good, it can even make learners easily dilute their knowledge, wasting time and negatively affecting their health.

Anh Thu wishes to use the D01 combination for admission. Of the three subjects: literature, math, and English, Anh Thu finds math to be the most "haunting" subject. Therefore, she has focused on and practiced this subject more. Every day, Anh Thu does math exercises, then grades them, sees which questions she got wrong and what knowledge she has gaps in to supplement them promptly.

Vu Ngoc Linh (class 12B10, Nguyen Thi Minh Khai High School, Hanoi) also used the 2023 high school graduation exam scores to apply for university admission, so she was very stressed. However, Ngoc Linh's point of view is not to stay up all night to "plow" but to divide her study time reasonably. To avoid affecting her health, Ngoc Linh tries to sleep at 10:30 p.m. and wakes up at 6 a.m. to study.

"Every day, I go to an extra class for about 2 hours, and the rest of the time I review my lessons on my own. For literature, I listen to lectures online and prepare introductions, conclusions, and some extended connections, then memorize them. For English, I combine practice tests and rereading theories...", Ngoc Linh shared.

Keep your mind steady before the exam

Aiming to study international communications (Diplomatic Academy), Pham Thu Hien (class 12A2, Hon Gai High School, Quang Ninh province) said that her emotions were mixed as she prepared to face the 2023 high school graduation exam. "I am worried, restless, confused but very eager, looking forward to the experience, with the awareness that this is the most important exam of my life," Hien said.

To reduce stress and keep her mind relaxed before the exam, Hien often listens to music and sings along or draws something. Hien's parents are always there to help and accompany her, so she feels less anxious. Hien said: "My family is very understanding, always giving advice and encouragement, not putting too much pressure on me to be this or that. My parents create the best possible conditions, both materially and spiritually, for me to study and achieve high results in the upcoming exam."

Tran Minh Thu (class 12A7, Le Loi High School, Hanoi) chose the admission method of considering academic records and combined consideration. For the 2023 high school graduation exam, Minh Thu determined that she had to try and make an effort to do the exam with the best results. During the exam preparation period, Minh Thu received special attention from her family. "My mother cooked a lot of delicious, nutritious and nutritious dishes. She always encouraged me and advised me to go to bed early to stay healthy, avoid exhaustion and overload."

To relieve stress, between study hours, Minh Thu still helps herself relax by occasionally playing a game or listening to music, talking to friends. "I believe that when taking an exam, in addition to having a solid grasp of knowledge, you need to stay calm. This will help me stay alert, recognize my mistakes and my work will be better," Minh Thu said.
