Providing information about the project at the inauguration ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Van Lang, General Director of Becamex Binh Dinh Joint Stock Company, said that Becamex VSIP Binh Dinh Industrial, Urban and Service Park started construction in September 2020 with a scale of 1,374 hectares and a total registered investment capital of more than VND 5,600 billion.
The project has a total planned area of 1,374 hectares with a total investment of more than 7,500 billion VND, belonging to subdivision 7 of Nhon Hoi economic zone, including 1,000 hectares of industrial park and 374 hectares of resettlement area, residential area, trade and service area.
The project has completed phase 1 with a total area of over 230 hectares planned to ensure environmental criteria. At the same time, the project also plans to build a housing area for workers, capable of receiving and ensuring accommodation for about 2,500 people.
The General Director of Becamex Binh Dinh added that after more than three years since the groundbreaking, this industrial park has attracted 4 FDI projects from the Federal Republic of Germany, Hong Kong (China), South Korea and the Netherlands, with a total area of 53 hectares and a total investment of 96 million USD and put into use 90 hectares of residential land to serve the needs of resettlement and living in the locality.
Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha said that developing an industrial - urban - service ecosystem is a successful model towards sustainable development, balancing the need for industrial development with the provision of social services including residential space and utility works.
With an area of 1,000 hectares, Becamex VSIP Binh Dinh can completely apply this model with reasonable spatial planning, effectively resolving conflicts, especially environmental ones.
Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha hopes that Becamex and VSIP need to develop green, ecological, and smart industrial parks; places for research, application of science and technology, innovation, circular, knowledge-based, and low-emission economic models.
The Deputy Prime Minister suggested that Becamex VSIP Binh Dinh and Binh Dinh province should persistently propose ways to convert energy. Green energy, clean energy, renewable energy, is the attractive point to attract investors in the future.
“I suggest that Binh Dinh continue to focus on administrative reform, improve the investment environment, support the business community and especially promptly implement the approved provincial planning to promote and introduce it to businesses. This is the best form of mobilizing business investment,” said Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha.
Introducing the province's potential, Chairman of Binh Dinh Provincial People's Committee Pham Anh Tuan said that Binh Dinh has many infrastructure conditions such as seaports, airports, and 5 national highways, which are favorable for industrial development. In particular, Becamex's project is a major project that creates momentum. In recent times, the locality has coordinated with investors to quickly resolve administrative procedures and complete site clearance.
According to Mr. Pham Anh Tuan, Binh Dinh is investing, upgrading and completing its socio-economic infrastructure to be ready to welcome investors, especially the infrastructure of economic zones, industrial parks with a total area of 15,300 hectares and the infrastructure of industrial clusters with a total area of 2,940 hectares.
The Chairman of Binh Dinh Province requested the investor to urgently mobilize resources and develop optimal solutions to speed up the investment progress of the second phase of the Project; strengthen the promotion, attraction and calling for investment, quickly fill the remaining areas and subdivisions of the industrial park; prioritize the early completion of the construction of workers' housing areas, and make maximum use of local labor resources...
On the provincial side, Mr. Pham Anh Tuan requested the Provincial Economic Zone Management Board to coordinate with relevant units and the People's Committee of Van Canh district to continue to create the most favorable conditions for investors, monitor and promptly remove difficulties and obstacles of investors in the process of investment, construction and operation; create all favorable conditions for secondary investors to come to Becamex VSIP Binh Dinh Industrial Park...
At the inauguration ceremony, an investment cooperation signing ceremony took place between Becamex VSIP Binh Dinh and partners including BW Industrial Development JSC investing 25 million USD, Logiform Co., Ltd investing 10 million USD, King Honor Paper Products Manufacturing Co., Ltd investing 6 million USD, and Kung Jui Mechanical Co., Ltd investing 8 million USD.
