According to Notice No. 6785-CV/VPTW of the Party Central Committee Office, the mid-term conference of the 13th Party Central Committee opened on the morning of May 15, 2023, in Hanoi.

In the morning, the Party Central Committee worked in the conference hall. General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong chaired and delivered the opening speech.

Politburo member and President Vo Van Thuong chaired the Conference on behalf of the Politburo.

Politburo member, Standing member of the Secretariat, Head of the Central Organization Commission Truong Thi Mai, on behalf of the Politburo, reported on the Program of the mid-term Conference of the 13th Party Central Committee.

Politburo member and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh presented a summary report reviewing the leadership and direction of the Politburo and Secretariat during the mid-term and a number of key tasks until the end of the 13th National Party Congress term.

In the afternoon, the Party Central Committee worked in groups to discuss the Report reviewing the leadership and direction of the Politburo and Secretariat during the mid-term and a number of key tasks until the end of the 13th Party Congress term; and the Report reviewing the personal performance of the comrades of the Politburo and Secretariat of the 13th tenure.
