(CLO) President Donald Trump attended the Daytona 500 race at Daytona International Speedway in Florida, USA last Sunday.

The black limousine, dubbed "The Beast", took Mr Trump around the track with his motorcade, sending a message to the drivers.

The event comes just a week after he attended the 2025 Super Bowl at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, marking the first time a sitting president has attended the Super Bowl.

Through the loudspeaker from inside the car, he said: "This is your favorite president. I'm a big fan, really a big fan of you guys for what you do. I don't know, but I just want you guys to be safe. You're talented people, you're great people, you're great Americans. Have a great day, have fun, and I'll see you later."

Asked about his thoughts on the Daytona 500, he replied: "I think it's great. It's good for the country. Our country is growing again and we have spirit all over the world. The spirit is back, we brought it back. And that's in less than four weeks. So you'll see what we do in a short period of time, it's only going to get better. It's very exciting."

President Trump's attendance at major sporting events such as the Super Bowl and Daytona 500 shows his interest in sports and culture, and brings special attention from the public and media.
