Sharing at the Conference, Mr. Phan Chinh Thuc - Chairman of the Association of Vocational Education and Social Work said that in the 2022-2023 school year, there are still some secondary schools and vocational colleges with low student health insurance coverage rates. The reason is partly because some schools have not paid attention to school health insurance. Therefore, it is extremely necessary to strengthen the dissemination of the meaning and benefits of health insurance policies to students.
"The Association has accompanied the Media Center (Vietnam Social Security) to organize this practical activity" - Mr. Thuc shared.
At the conference, nearly 200 students of Nguyen Tat Thanh Secondary School were updated on health insurance policies and laws, including regulations on health insurance for students, by Ms. Tong Thi Song Huong - former Director of the Department of Health Insurance (Ministry of Health); Ms. Tran Thi Thuy Nga - Vice President of the Association of Vocational Education and Social Work, former Director of the Department of Social Insurance (Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs).
The two experts also emphasized the rights and obligations of employees and employers, the meaning and benefits of social insurance and health insurance policies, in order to help students after graduation and work gain knowledge about social insurance and health insurance to protect their own rights. Regarding student health insurance, the experts emphasized that participating in health insurance will help students receive timely health care, avoiding causing unfortunate consequences for their families.
