Fire burned down a foam mattress factory of more than 2,000 square meters in Tan Uyen City, many workers tried to escape, noon January 20.
At around 12:30, a fire broke out in the corner of a mattress manufacturing company's factory in Khanh Long neighborhood, Tan Phuoc Khanh ward. The factory contained flammable materials such as rubber and fabric, so the fire quickly engulfed the thousands of square meter production area, accompanied by loud explosions and a column of smoke rising tens of meters high.

Some security guards and workers in the production area tried to put out the fire with fire extinguishers but failed, and tried to escape. The fire occurred near an urban area, so there was a risk of it spreading to many houses.
Binh Duong Province Fire Police dispatched more than 10 specialized vehicles and dozens of officers and soldiers to the scene. By 2 p.m., the rescue team had basically contained the fire, preventing it from spreading.

The fire caused no casualties, but collapsed the entire roof and burned most of the warehouse and many properties inside.
