On the evening of October 1, a fire broke out at building E3 of The Emerald My Dinh apartment complex (Nam Tu Liem district, Hanoi).
At around 8:20 p.m., residents saw a raging fire in an apartment building above, so they notified the authorities and the building's management board.
At 8:32 p.m., Nam Tu Liem District Police received a fire report. Nam Tu Liem District Police dispatched 2 fire trucks and 1 rescue vehicle. At 8:40 p.m., the district police arrived at the scene, coordinated with PC07 and the building management board to use the fire hydrant on the 6th floor to put out the fire. By 8:45 p.m., the fire was under control and by 8:56 p.m. the fire was completely extinguished.
The fire was raging outside the apartment balcony.
According to the apartment owner, the fire started from an air fryer that was grilling fish on the balcony, then spread to the balcony.
During the fire fighting process, a building employee suffered minor smoke inhalation, but is now conscious and is undergoing medical examination.
